You choose to ignore the sliver of your former self, this programme is so interesting. Plus Jamie has the ring and at this point, you can think of no way to retrieve it.
After a bit Jamie comes in and announces that dinner is ready and you join your siblings running into the kitchen, hollering and laughing.
Afterward, you go with Christy to play in her room. Micheal and Alex go their room to play and Jamie and Danny head for their rooms to do their homework. Something about this reminds you that you have homework as well, but the idea of playing drives it from your mind.
Christy may be three years older then you, but she treats you as an equal as the two of you spend the evening playing dolls, dress-up, house and a number of other games. Around nine-thirty Jamie comes in and tells you, "As soon as Micheal and Alex have had their bath, you two are next. Then it's bedtime."
Something about seeing Christy naked brings your former seventeen year old self back, but it's quickly pushed aside when Jamie asks which bubble bath you and Christy want. Afterward you're given a nightgown and a pull-up.
After you've gotten dressed, Jamie combs your long brown hair and begins to take you to your room. Before you can get there, you look at Jamie and ask, "May I sleep with Cwisty again? I'm afwaid of the monster in the dark." Jamie, for her part, is to tired to argue and leads you to Christy's room instead.
As you lay next to your older sister, cuddling a plush animal, drifting off to sleep, an even smaller sliver of your former self says from deep within your mind, "I need to get the ring back from Jamie. This is not right. I'm losing myself in this four year old female body." But your not really sure how or why you should get the ring back from the eldest sibling.
These troubling thoughts and the sound of mommy's car pulling into the driveway chase you into sleep. Tomorrow is Saturday, a new day. Surely you can get the ring tomorrow?
