Transform or Dare?

First day as a walrus

added by Rusty Raccoon 14 years ago A

He wasn't sure when he'd managed to fall asleep. Kyle dreamt of being his human self with Jennifer as a human. They were apologizing to one another as Kyle felt a jolt. Everything in the dream went fuzzy and Kyle awoke to the sight of the beach.

He felt the sand under him and the air as the wind blew. Something was off.

First and foremost, Kyle was seeing a lot more then should been possible. He blinked eyes that felt different then they should have.

His vision didn't return to normal.

His arms and legs felt wrong. He tried to move his arms only to feel as though he was moving oversized hands. When he tried to move his legs, he felt as though something had bound his legs to the point where they weren't even legs any more.

He also felt as though he had the overbite from hell.

Terror overcame Kyle when he he realized the truth. He was a walrus. It was a reality that couldn't be possible yet was. Kyle let out a bellow to scream for help. He closed his eyes as he squirmed, desperate to wake up from what had to be a nightmare.

After a few minutes, he opened his eyes.

His pulse quickened and he tried to get up only for his massive bulk to prevent it.

He was a walrus, it had all happened for real. His life for all intents and purposes was over. He wanted to go home and back to his life; he wanted to apologize.

The sad reality that his current form would forbid any of that started to sink in. Kyle was a walrus, there was nowhere for him to go other then to wait until someone picked up him to take him to the zoo.

He wasn't willing to risk his life in the wild. Even if the idea of swimming naked and free excited Kyle a little, knowing he could never go back to his human life took the fun out of it. If he had Jennifer with him, things would be different. But now, Kyle knew that his selfishness had destroyed everything.

Kyle would soon be at the mercy of whatever humans found him. The idea terrified him. He was just an animal now; one that didn't have much (if any choice) choice in his life.

He tried to think of something positive about the situation. If nothing else, he wouldn't have to worry about school or getting a job any more. No one would expect much of anything of him other then just doing what his walrus instincts said. If he did something embarrassing or gross, to them he was just a dumb animal that didn't know better.

Someone was coming, Kyle could hear and smell them coming. Whoever it was smelt so nice; Kyle imagined she smelt far nicer then he likely did at this point. The fact he knew this person was a she surprised him.

"Oh my God, it's a walrus."

The human was barefoot and ran around in front of Kyle. She otherwise wore jeans and a teeshirt. She touched Kyle, causing him to flinch but otherwise stay where he was.

"How did you get here big guy? Don't tell me someone kept you as a pet and just abandoned you. Did you swim all the way down here?"

Kyle blinked. He wondered if she really expected him to answer.

"Don't worry, I'll call for help, you'll be all right," she said.

Kyle looked up at her. Her voice was soothing and made him feel as though he really was going to be fine. He just wished he could tell her the truth.
