Sam was amazed by the reaction she was receiving from the people as they walked through the park. Trish was right that Sam was treated like she wasn't anything unusual. Kids wanted to come and pet her while parents kept a healthy distance away from her. Saw was reminded of the time when she had a great dane when she was a little girl. When they got to a small clearing Trish gave the leash a light tug and Sam lowered her head and was relieved as Trish let Sam off her leash. Trish felt care free and with a laugh she yelled, "Catch me if you can!"
Sam chuckled which came out as a couple of woofs. Not even trying, Sam took a single step and almost closed the gap between her and Trish. Sam then realized that with her hooves that it would be difficult to catch the little girl. Sam wondered how she could catch Trish with out hurting her and an idea occurred to her. Trish had made a good run but it looked like her little body was already beginning to tire after sprinting for a minute. Even with this head start Sam ran and easily caught up with her charge. When she had passed the little goth girl Sam slowed down and rolled onto her side. Trish was laughing so hard even as she ran right into Sam's exposed belly and grabbed onto the fur and began scratching. Sam was really enjoying it right up until Trish stopped and sat down and laid against her.
"I want to thank you Sam. For being such a good sport about all of this. I know I've played a couple tricks on you but you've gone along with it, and that means a lot to me. Right now, I'd just like to sit with you and look at the clouds. After that, we'll go to my house and you'll spend the night and then I'll change you back to normal."
Tricia couldn't really understand Sam but when the hell beast moved her head and licked Trish, Tricia figured the plan was fine with Sam. The two of them laid like that for at least an hour and Tricia had started to doze off when a shadow crossed her vision and woke her up. Trish, startled awake, looked around to see what had blocked her light. Sam felt that Trish was upset and began to growl, looking to see what had upset her friend.
