As soon as the nozzle was turned on, a low moan rumbled out from Carrie. John started, worried that something was wrong. He grasped her shoulders through the latex of the pumpkin costume. She stared, her gaze unfixed on anything around her.
"Carrie!" John shook his wife. Her eyes lazily turned to his then fluttered closed. Her arms moved to her belly. John looked down. Even through the many folds of the large costume, John could see that a slight bulge was growing. Carrie was massaging her stomach, as it grew larger and larger.
"Don't worry about her, sonny," the shop keeper said, "I'm just filling up a pumpkin with pumpkin. Sounds like she's enjoying it too!" He giggled a bit too madly for John's taste, but reluctantly nodded and stepped back to watch.
The flow of pumpkin filling was unrelenting and the physics of cartoons was taking affect as Carrie's body was more than willing and able to hold all of it. Her belly continued to swell and make a much more obvious bulge in the costume. She looked pregnant with a whale, John thought, but then he noticed that it just wasn't her belly that was growing, it was also her sides and back. Bulges pressed the costume outward in soft edges, filling it out roundly and nicely.
Some parts of Carrie didn't seem to be affected by the filling. Her arms, legs and head appeared a bit plump, but showing none of the impressive expansion of her belly. John stood, amazed, that in a few minutes, Carrie had gone from petite woman to filling out a pumpkin costume that John couldn't reach half way around. Carrie continued to moan as she filled out the last bit of the costume, indeed, it didn't seem like there was a costume on her now, so closely did it fit.
The shop keep turned the nozzle off and pulled the hose out of Carrie's mouth, who sighed. Then she turned to face John, awkwardly testing out her new form. She grinned wide, mimicking the grin on the face of her belly. "John! Oh, my God! This is amazing! I feel full, but so light!" Carrie giggled and blushed. "Now, let's get you filled up!"
John, looked at Carrie, then to the shop keeper, then back to Carrie.
