The magical Genie, Jean for short, took on a human form and skipped merrily down Mulberry Lane, when she was stopped suddenly. An unshaven man wearing worn cloths scuttled and tripped out of a nearby hedge. He immediately collapsed.
“Oh my gosh!” Jean screamed, more excited than worried.
Jean leapt forwards and clicked her long, gorgeous fingers over the man’s forehead. The man sprang up.
“The hungry, hungry wildcats. They stole my spoons!” The man hollered, looking around wildly. He was clearly quite mad.
“Oh, you poor thing,” Jean sighed, “Do you have a home?”
“Me home is at the pot ‘o’ gold, Barry!” The man chuckled.
Jean gave the man a patient look. She was free and powerful, she could help this man with ease. With a wave of her arms, Mulberry Lane erupted into a fit of shaking. Nobody seemed to notice the violent earthquake however, nor did they notice that a bush had just turned into a large house. The house was massive, with five bedrooms and a classical door and... Well, it wasn’t all that amazing, but if the homeless man had his mind, he would have thought so.
Jean explained, “I’m Jean. A genie who was freed. If you want, I can give you more than a house. What do you say, mortal man?”
