"I can't believe that you can be such a baby," said Nancy.
Joe smiled. I can, he thought.
"I wish Dr. Von Hauser was a baby," he said quietly.
Hearing the wish, Dr. Von Hauser's eyes went wide. "No! Not that!" she cried.
But, already her body had begun to grow younger. Her face and body became rapidly more youthful and attractive, and Joe found himself even more turned on by her. Then, she began to shrink as her body passed backwards through her teenage years. For a brief moment, she and Joe were the same age and about the same height, and Joe pictured her as a possible girlfriend, some girl he might know from school. The moment passed. Her massive breasts deflated, and her curvy figure straightened out to a more girlish shape. She found herself looking up at her formerly younger patient with fear in her wide little girl eyes.
"Please, stop this!" she peeped in a voice several octaves higher than normal.
Joe said nothing. He just watched in amazement as she continued to shrink. She was little more than a preschooler by that point. Very quickly, her body transitioned from girl to baby, and she found herself falling to her naked backside as her legs had become too weak to support her.
The changes ceased, and she was a baby. His shrink, Dr. Von Hauser, had become a 9-month old baby sitting naked on the floor.
"There you are, sweetie," said Nancy, the receptionist.
Joe jumped when he heard her speak. He had completely forgotten that she was there as he had been totally focused on his shrink shrinking.
Nancy walked over and picked up the doctor, who stared up at her fearfully.
"How did you get out of your diaper?" she asked the terrified baby. Then, to Joe she said, "Sorry about that, Kathy here was supposed to go to daycare today, but there was some kind of scheduling issue. Her mommy will be with you in just a few minutes."
"Her mommy?" he asked.
"Yes, Dr. Von Hauser will be with you shortly."
The baby Dr. Von Hauser stared at Joe with insistent eyes that seemed to say, Fix this quick! Help!
But, Joe was a bit too confused to act at that moment. Did the wish give his baby shrink a mother to replace her as his shrink? He was curious. What would she be like? At the same time, he was ever more impressed by the power of the ring to make plausible explanations for his wishes when necessary.
Nancy turned to leave the room, and as she walked out, the baby Dr. Von Hauser started to cry. It was all she could do now that she was a helpless little infant at the mercy of her own receptionist.
Joe smirked and closed the door. "Serves you right," he said. "That's what you get for trying to get me put away."
He sat down, allowed his anger to abate, and then let his mind run back through the strange events of that day. He could scarcely believe everything that he had done to Dr. Von Hauser, and only then he felt some regret for it all. It was a terrible thing to have to be a baby again. He knew that he would hate it. He could just picture Nancy putting a diaper on her right now as she squirmed and cried. Maybe she didn't deserve that severe of a punishment.
"Well," he said. "I could always wish her back to normal later. She can stay that way for a while until she learns to be a bit nicer to her patients."
