Perhaps one's nature is not as solid as we tend to think. In the form of an otter girl, the nature of the species, gender and age you've become is all too prevalent in your mind.
You remember the man you once were. While it's difficult to picture him, it's not impossible. He's still a part of who you were and ironically, what you've become. For your personal nature; the thoughts, feelings and ideas that go beyond the nature of what you are in some way led you to become as you are now.
Worries that would have been part of your adult self now seem like a dream. You don't worry of your friendships should you remain in your current form. After all, how could anyone not want to play with you?
The Genie turned otter boy runs a finger down the small of your back. You gasp a little; it feels good but the part of you that is an otter girl is still a little nervous of a boy touching you. Since you were born male and only spent a short while as a female elf, you don't have any real memories of being an adult female to draw on to help perhaps look forward to being an otter woman.
You're still hungry.
The Genie lies on his side using his arm to support his head and he looks you in the eyes. He's brining back memories of being older. They're conflicting with your discovered otter girl nature. He's adorable but in an innocent way. A part of you wants to experience what it might be like to be older. Maybe you two could even get married.
You're still hungry.
You blink your eyes; did you really just think of marriage? It seems unusual but you're not sure why. Remembering why is like trying to remember something from your childhood. It's a difficult concept to wrap your head around when you’re in the body of an eight year old and your mind has changed to fit the body.
You’re still hungry.
The Genie hears your stomach rumble.
“So, what do you want to eat?” Genie asks.
You’re glad that he doesn’t suggest fish without asking. You may be part otter but you’re also part Elf. However, the child like mind you currently have isn’t one to care about health food or watching your weight. Without an adult around to worry about those things for you, there’s little to keep you from indulging.
“How about a nice big pizza with pepperoni, bacon and sausage, Then double mint chocolate iced cream and a big bottle of coke?”
The Genie blinks his eyes.
“Such food isn’t good for you!”
You stick out your tongue. “What are you, my mother? Come on, I want that food!”
Genie shrugs his shoulders. “Is that a wish?”
You nod your head. Genie stands up, holds his arms up and wiggles his fingers. A flash of light appears in front of him and seconds later a table complete with tablecloth and chairs stands before you.
Standing, you gasp at the site before you.
The table has a large pizza made just the way you like it in the exact style you like, as though Genie has read your mind. There is also a large tub of iced cream covered in chocolate sauce and chocolate chip and sprinkles as well as several glasses of coke.
“Awesome, thank you Genie, you’re the best,” you say. “I could hug you, in fact I will!”
You leap at Genie, wrapping your arms around him and pressing your body against his. He’s blushing like the otter boy he’s taken the form of.
“Aww, shucks, it was nothing really,” he says.
Your stomached grumbles; you're still hungry.
“Better eat before it gets cold,” he says.
You nod, let him go and take a seat. The feast before you beckons you and you’re not shy about consuming as much as your belly will hold. But, such a feast is too much for one! You’re happy to encourage Genie to feast in ways he hasn’t been able to in years!
Some hours later, you’re both lying on the grass with chocolate and tomato sauce on your muzzles and grins on your faces that would put the Cheshire cat to shame.
You’re both in heaven. But, such things cannot last – can they?
