Mr. Mendes was lost in the feelings of pleasure while Ric and Josh stared in amazement as their counselor became first transparent and then started to vanish completely.
Within minutes, Mr. Mendes was gone and the two boys stood there, utterly flabbergasted. Turning to his older brother, Josh belted out in a squeaky prepubescent voice, "What have you done!?! Bring him back! How are we suppose to explain this to mom when she comes home?!?"
"Shush," Ric retorted back as he began to flip through the book.
In truth, he had no idea what he'd done. Ric didn't think anything would've happened really and had only wanted to impress his younger brother. "This isn't exactly easy," Ric told his brother as he adopted a know-it-all tone.
Josh ignored his brother as he began to pace back and forth, trying to figure out the best way to explain Mr. Mendes disappearance. Suddenly he was drawn back to the hear and now as Ric exclaimed, "I think I got it. So hold on, I can fix this, alright." and began to read another spell out loud.
Josh tried in vain to protest, but suddenly he was overcome by a warm sensation. Exclaiming out, "What have you done," he dashed forward and grabbed the book from his brother.
But the feeling of triumphant of removing the book from Ric's dangerous hands was short lived as a look of worry spread across Ric's face. Then the whole world began to fade away. It was just as everything went white, that Josh felt the book slip away from his hands. Trying to shout out, Josh found the task difficult due to a lack of mouth. Suddenly the world reformed around him and he found himself facing a mirror.
Seeing the image before him, Josh exclaims, "Oh crap," and then sits down.

Meanwhile, Ric watched his brother slowly vanish, with the book. After a couple of minutes passed and Ric could see that neither the book or his brother was returning, he mumbled, "I'm in big trouble," as he began to wander the house, attempting to figure out a way to solve this predicament.
