You pull out your trusty water bottle that you keep for just such an occasion. Scooping up some of the water into the bottle, you take a swig from it as you walk back to your house, quickly pouring it out before you go inside.
As you walk past your parents, they merely look at you and shake their heads. You and your parents never seemed to be on the same wavelength, and your recent 'phase' as they call it, where you wear nothing but black clothes, black nail polish, black hair dye, and pale makeup to hide your horrid 'rosy cheeks' that your aunts liked to pinch, hasn't helped matters. Broodily sauntering into your black painted room, you close the door decorated with a skull and crossbones and plop down on your desk chair. Typing away at your computer, you suddenly stopped as you felt a strange sensation crawl over your skin.
As you look down, you see what look like small writhing bumps popping up on your hands and, as you pull up your shirt, the rest of your body too. As you watch, each bump opens to reveal a tiny strand of fur. As the fur covers you, you realize that it's a rust red color, except for your belly, where it's off-white. You touch the fur on your arm, suddenly feeling disoriented because of the alien sensation. As you move your hand back down, you do a double take.
Your hand appears to be reshaping before your eyes, and as you look down, so do your feet. The bones move around and your nails are replaced by black claws, with your nail polish dissolving into thin air. Soon, your hands and feet resemble nothing more than paws. Feeling more changes occur, you take off your clothes to get a better look.
The first thing that you notice is that you have gotten smaller. Standing about 5'3'' originally, you now seem to have shrunk about a foot. Feeling discomfort at your tail-bone, you turn your head and look back, just in time to see an enormous tail shoot out. As the tail curls up, you recognize it as a squirrel tail. This doesn't faze you, even though squirrels are most definitely not goth in any way. You curl your tail up in your lap and wait patiently for the rest of the changes to occur.
As if answering your call, you feel an odd tingling run over your face. As you look in the mirror, you see that your ears have rounded and moved to the top of your head, and your face has just finished pushing out into a muzzle.
After all these changes, you shrink down another foot, and your bones rearrange. Once they're done, you look like a 3 foot tall squirrel. Sitting down on the edge of your bed, you wait for yourself to stop shrinking. You pass the time by stroking your tail, enjoying the pleasant sensation you get from touching the soft fur. Soon, you're the size of a regular squirrel and, with nothing better to do, you curl your tail around yourself and go to sleep.
