Daniel's father smiled and said "Well its supposed to be hotter tomorrow so I would watch what you two wear and your welcome for the water."
He was about to leave when he stopped and turned around.
"Oh, Daniel. Before I forget, your older brother is going to be coming home later tonight"
"Ok, dad" Daniel said as he smiled and wagged his tail furiously
Daniel looked at Jennifer a little confused and then decided to head upstairs with her to talk about this new development.

They got up stairs and Jennifer laid down on Daniel's bed and waited for him to sit down.
Daniel looked at Jennifer still a little confused.
"I never had a brother before, but I have memories now of him. I wonder why the curse did that." said Daniel

Flash back
When Daniel was only 2 his parents adopted him an older brother. Evan was 2 years older then Daniel at 4 years old. He was a timber wolf his parents had rescued him from the pound. He was caught in a fight with a cop who found him on the streets and tried to take him to a zoo.
Evan and Daniel got along very well up until the end of middle school when Evan started hanging out with a pack of wolves he had met while he was hunting. After that they didn't see each other very much but Evan was always there when Daniel needed some help.
The pack Evan had started hanging out with was actually a group of bounty hunters called the Wolves of Ra. Evan was the youngest of the group and quickly showed he was also the most dangerous.
Evan's job kept him away often and Daniel always looked forward to his visits.

Jennifer shrugged and said. "I dunno why the curse did what it did. But hey, be happy, you have an older brother now and a H-O-T HOT one at that"
Jennifer blushed at what just came out of her mouth as Daniel looked shocked and a little angry as a little growl escaped his maw.
"Daniel, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say that, its my heat talking" Jennifer said fast.
Daniel's expression softened as he moved in and gave Jennifer a slow kiss.
"Good, cause I'm not gonna let anyone take you away from me" Daniel said breaking the kiss and smiling.
==========That evening==========
A knock came from the front door, followed by silence, followed by
"SOMEONE LET ME IN!!! I'M HOT AND I DONT HAVE A KEY!!!!"
Daniel's dad came out of the kitchen where he was preparing dinner and opened the front door. Evan hugged his dad and licked him all over his face.
"Gah, Evan Stop! Your happy to be home I get it" said Daniel's dad.
Daniel came bounding down the stairs when he heard Evan at the door and Jennifer followed down soon after. Daniel smiled seeing Evan and pounced right on top of him.
"HI BIG BROTHER!!!!!" Daniel said almost shouting.
Evan smiled and hugged his brother before pushing him off as an up until now female red wolf standing in the door way finally said hello. She had dark red fur all over her body and a few small scars, it was obvious she worked with Evan.
The group looked to the girl as Evan stood up and went over to her side as they nuzzled before putting their hands together as Evan spoke up. "Guys this is Mika and she is my new mate"
The gang all congratulated Evan and Mika, then they went to have dinner.
