Luke was still crying when his dad came back into his room. His mom had wrapped a towel around him so his privates would be covered. His mom was still hugging him and she saw the worried look on his face. "John can't help can he?" she asked.
"He didn't say that" his dad said. "He said that he might be able to help. Now that he knows what the condoms do he might be able to reverse it or at least negate the effects for a few hours each day. He'll know more when he examines the condoms for a few days and then Luke."
"So I have to remain a girl for a few more days?" Luke asked through his sobs.
"It seems so" his dad said. "Uncle John will do what he can to return you to normal. Worst case scenario is that you'll have to grow up again though as a girl this time. Though Uncle John did say something that you might like. It could be possible that the effects are temporary. In which case you'll be back to your old self in a few hours."
"Could I really change back after a few hours?" Luke asked hope in his eyes.
"Uncle John thinks so" his dad said. "He thinks that the magic in the condoms is temporary. At least that's how it seems to him."
"Ok we need to take your measurements Luke" his mom said. "Could you get me my measuring tape honey?"
"Of course" his dad said.
While his dad was gone Luke thought of something. "Mom, the stores are closed" he said. "How are you going to get me some clothes?"
"Well I'll have to go shopping tomorrow" his mom said.
"But you hate going out shopping the day after Christmas" Luke said.
"You need clothes that fit you" his mom said. "That's why I need your measurements. You can wear one of your old shirts to bed for tonight. Tomorrow is a different story though. You will need to wear something. Also don't forget that we have an appointment for our after Christmas pictures the day after tomorrow. If you're still a girl by then you'll have to wear a nice dress. I know you don't want to do that but you need to be nice for pictures."
"Maybe I'll be myself in the morning" Luke said.
"Maybe" his mom said. "In that case you should probably sleep in the nude tonight. That way you can sleep without worrying about being squeezed by a small shirt."
"Sounds like a good idea" Luke agreed.
"Here's your tape measure" his dad said coming back in.
"Thanks honey" his mom said. "Now could you leave us alone so I can measure him, er... her."
"Ok" his dad said. "Though don't call him her please. It's just not right."
"We have to get used to it" his mom said. "She may be a girl for at least a few days if not the rest of her life. The sooner we all accept that the better."
"Do I have to have a new name?" Luke asked.
"Of course sweetie" his mom said. "Luke isn't exactly a girl's name. How about Lucy for you name for now?"
"I guess that would be ok" Luke said.
"Then it's settled" his mom said. "As long as you're a girl your name is Lucy. Now honey, I really need you to leave so I can measure Luke, er... I mean Lucy."
"I still don't like this" his dad said. "He may be a girl for only a few hours." He left Luke's room and closed the door.
"He's going to have a tough time accepting that you could be a girl for the rest of your life" his mom said. "Now let's get that towel off of you so I can measure you."
Lucy dropped the towel and let her mom measure her. As she was being measured she asked "Do you think I'll be a girl for the rest of my life?"
"It's possible sweetie" her mom said. "So we need to get used to you being a girl."
"How old do you think I am now?" Lucy asked.
"Well I would say that your eight years old" her mother said. "At least you didn't end up as a baby again. An eight year old girl I can handle. A baby girl I can't."
Lucy brightened up and said "Well that would be worse than this. At least I can still talk and walk."
"That's true" her mom said. "Now try not to take offense if I start treating you like an eight year old girl. I won't be able to help myself if you remain as a girl. I know that you still have your mind but your body says different."
"Ok, I'll try not to take offense" Lucy said.
"That's my boy, er... girl" her mom said. "Ok, I'm done measuring you. You can go to bed now."
"Ok mom" Lucy said as she climbed into her bed. As she snuggled under the covers she couldn't help but notice that she was completely naked under the covers.
"Goodnight sweetie" her mom said from the doorway. "I'll be gone by the time you get up."
"What if I transform back?" Lucy asked. "What will you do with the clothes you buy for me?"
"I'll just return them" her mom said. "Now go to sleep."
"Ok Mom" Lucy said as she yawned and closed her eyes.
