"You see, Susan had wanted to try a werewolf. She always had a thing for anthromorphic animals, and a werewolf would fall under the contraints of her assignement," replied Kat, smiling.
"But why me?" asked Dan, starting to feel a little funny.
"I haven't been the greatest sister, I know. We've always been at each other's throats a bit. We just kept antagonizing each other. So, consider this a peace offering. A special gift for my brother, who drives me up the wall, but who I love anyway."
Dan stared at her in surprise. How could she have known? Had she put two and two together, with his books on werewolves, his repeated late night viewings of An American Werewolf in London and The Howling?
Before he had a chance to ask, he doubled over in pain. He sank to his knees and softly cried out. He looked at his hands and saw his nails slowly grow out into curved claws. His arms hand hands, which were previously hairless were covered with a light coating of fur, growing thicker by the minute.
"Unfortunately, you are going to feel the changes. It won't be painful, just feel very strange," said Kat.
Dan pulled off his shirt, finding the same thing with his shoulders and chest. He saw his muscles begin to expand and grow. His chest and back slowly became covered with black and gray fur, matching the fur on his arms and hands. He glanced over to the full length mirror and saw his hair color was now punctuated with streaks of gray, and he had grown fur on his face as well. Most striking was his ears were now pointed and had moved up to the top of his head.
He felt his teeth growing out into sharp fangs. The muscles in his legs grew and expanded, ripping his pant legs at the seams. His feet grew and reformed until his legs resembled a wolf's hind legs. A tail grew out from his backside, covered in the same black and grey fur.
Dan let out a loud growl as his face pushed out into a snout. He let out a long howl as the transformation ended. Kat was not sure but it seemed as if he were almost smiling.
Dan slowly stood up, trying to balance on his new legs. He carefully walked over to the mirror, carefully inspecting his newly transformed body. He was beautiful, looking like an anthromorphic wolf. He looked at his palms, which now resembled paw pads and then reached around and grabbed his new, bushy tail. It was real indeed.
"Oh Dan, you look so beautiful," remarked Kat. She took a step back and admired her handiwork.
