(A little change from what i had planned to happen, but it does create some interesting possibilities, which is always good)
Kari Gasped in shock as dark brown hair slowly grew onto her arms.
"What’s happening!" shouted Angel in shock. As the attention was now on Kari, only Darwin heard the click of a new card being dispensed. "Guy's another card came out, It must be the second rule card!" he shouted at them, as he brought it up to read.
"What does it say about this" Kari asked him, in a surprisingly calm given her situation, "Is it magic? or maybe some sort of highly advanced illusion?" She asked him. He quickly read through, “It is another Rule Card!” He handed the card to Kari to read, then once she finished she passed it on.
Rules of the Game.
Once a game is started, players may not return to their normal reality. Players can pause the game indefinitely if desired but these players might be punished. Once the game is won players will be allowed back into their reality, and possibly receive a prize based on their scores, which will be calculated from a variety of factors.
The 5 primary types of cards. If a card has force printed on The top right corner, the effect will happen shortly after the card is initially drawn. If the card has Other printed in the top left corner, this card can be used on another person. If the card has a turn, followed by number, it means the effect on that card will last that long.
1. Animal Transformation Cards – Ranging from Common to rare Card Type - These cards can cause a change in the user. The change is almost always animal related, and can range from small changes to complete body changes. These cards can have a slight mental effect on the user, but in most cases the user retrains all normal cognitive functions. The player will generally receive some sort of stat change for these cards, but they don’t always reveal how they are affected.
2. Physical Transformation Cards – Very Rare Card Type – These cards can affect the very make-up of a person. The person can go from Flesh and Blood to Rubber, Stone, Plant, and etc. These cards tend to be extremely rare considering the radical transformations possible.
3. Mental Change Cards – Rare to Very Rare Card type -These cards can cause mental changes in the recipient. These changes can be small, such as removing changing their habbits or attitudes towards people. To radically personality shifts, loss of inhibitions, or changing ones loyalties.
4. Cursed Cards – Rare Card Type – The person this card is used on will receive a curse. These curses can greatly differ from other types a card and create unique situations. These curses can cause several obstacles, or if used correctly, help a player gain an advantage over the other players.
5. Item Cards – Uncommon- These cards can modify or adjust status if need be. Some of these items won’t inform the user of their effects, which can make them risky to use.
6. Area Effect Cards – Uncommon – These cards can effect spaces on the map, causing either effects on users currently in, or entering these areas. The range of these spells can differ from a single space to the entire map. These cards should be used carefully as they could cause great changes within the game world, which might cause new possibilities, but also new risks and challenges.
Kari looked at her card again, and sure enough in the top right corner it had force printed.
“Wait… So does this mean we are stuck playing till the end?” Micah asked as he held Kari, who’s paws have started growing sharp claws, and fur was slowly spreading around her body. “Lets see” Richie got up and walked over to the front door of the house. He swung open the door and looked outside, “Huh, I wasn’t expecting this, maybe a black void of nothingness, or a swirling nexus of lights, but not this.” He comment as he looked out the window.
What does he see?
