Inside the box was a fully accurate Superman costume with matching red boots. Nate felt the excitement well up inside of him. He had always wanted a genuine Superman costume, not one of those cheap department store knock offs but a really good one. The problem was that they cost hundreds of dollars, which he didn't have.
"Oh Kat, I love it! I really do." said Nate, gently running his fingers across the smooth red leather of the boots.
"That's only part of the present," she replied.
"I'm not sure I understand," he replied.
"Yes, you do, you just don't believe it," she said, smiling.
"You mean, you want to make me Superman?" he asked, with a smile creeping across his face.
"Yes," Kat started smiling. "You are the purest, kindest hearted person I know, and I think today's world could use a symbol of hope. The hope you've always given me. I want to give you the powers you have always wanted and use them to help the world."
"Wow, I'm not sure I can live up to that," said Nate, sitting down on the bed. He looked up to Kat and smiled. "But I'd sure like to try."
"Yes! Okay," she said. She pulled out her wand, whispered an incantation and flicked her wand. For a couple of seconds, Nate was bathed in white light. He felt a growing tightness all over his body which he quickly realized was growing muscle mass. Just as quickly, the light subsided, revealing a slightly buffer Nate. He stood up and checked himself out. He was still recongnizably himself, but just looked stronger.
He took off his glasses and found he had better than perfect eyesight. He focused on trying to use his X-ray vision, finding it kicked in perfectly. He could see into the living room.
"Your brother-dog is pissing on the couch!" exclaimed Nate.
Kat ran out of the room and scolded Dan and then quickly came back, "Well, clearly your x-ray vision works. Try flying."
Nate focused on trying to fly and felt himself slowly lift off the ground. He turned himself around in mid-air and started smiling, even giggling a little from the excitement.
"Oh Kat, this is amazing!" replied Nate.
"Try on the costume!" said Kat. She couldn't wait to see him in it. Nate softly landed again and walked over to the box. He pulled out both of the boots and set them on the floor. He then pulled out the deep blue unitard and Cape, followed by the trunks and yellow belt.
"If you'd excuse me while I change," he said.
"Oh, right," said Kat, walking out of the room and closing the door behind herself.
Nate stripped naked and briefly admired himself in Kat's floor length mirror. He had well developed pecotoral muscles and a nicely defined six pack, along with well defined but not over the top biceps. His legs also had stronger definiton, but also nothing over the top. Even his cock seemed a little bigger.
He slipped into the blue Unitard, fitting the stirrup at the bottom over each of his feet and pulled it up to his waist. He picked up the cape and put each arm through one of the shoulder straps. He put his arms through the arms of the unitard and pulled it up, the yellow and red "S" shield centering right over his chest. He zipped up the costume with the zipper in the back. He finished with pulling on the red trunks and putting on the yellow belt.
Nate stood in front of Kat's mirror for a few minutes, still trying to believe this was all really happening. He watched himself in the mirror slowly float off the floor and land land again. Yes, this was really happening.
Nate opened the door and walked into the living room so Kat could get a look at him.
"Oh wow! You look amazing!" exlcaimed Kat. She definately approved at how he filled out the costume.
Nate's newly aquired super hearing kicked in for the first time. It was a car approaching. Two people were inside, voices he instantly recognized as Kat and Dan's parents.
"What is it?" asked Kat.
"Your parents are coming," replied Nate. "No doubt to take us to your party."
"Well, it isn't a costume party, so you should probably change," replied Kat.
"Actually, I have a better idea," replied Nate, running back to her room, with his new super speed. In another the second, he was back out, carrying a duffel bag wearing his black slacks and buttoning up his dress shirt. He pulled it open just enough to show Kat he had his super suit on underneath. He smiled and shrugged, "Why not, right?"
Kat could only chuckle. "What's in the duffel bag?"
"The boots. My shoes wouldn't fit over them, and red boots would look a little conspicuous."
"Good point."
Dan let out a loud bark.
"Oh man, what do we do about him?" asked Nate. "I have a feeling your parents aren't going to be thrilled about that..."
"Yeah, I know..." replied Kat.
