Angel picked up the dice next and threw a ten. Angel looked at Kari, thinking about what she should do since with this roll she would only be a few spaces away. Maybe close enough to give her potion of speed to if Kari needed to make a hasty retreat. "Do you still want to go with these guys that captured you?" Angel had to ask.
Kari nodded her head, "I still think it's my best bet for finding the artifacts we're looking for. If I just run away we'll be no closer to finding out about the Earth King or his enemies so I think I should stick with them."
Angel chewed her lip before making her decision. "I'll go west into the forest with Ester then." Ester clapped her hands together at that pronouncement as Angel moved past Ester everyone was surprised to see a card come out of the board on Ester's side first. Ester took the card and read it, "Another player is next to you, do you wish to give them the honor of being the Forest Guardian? If so give them this card," Ester shook her head, "I think I'll keep the necklace for now."
Angel was relieved to hear that. Being trapped in this strange world was odd enough without having some cursed necklace on that restricted what she could do. Angel's card appeared and she read it, "Eyes of the Hawk, allow you to see what type of card you'll draw from a certain space."
Almost in unison Richie and Alison closed their eyes and grabbed the sides of their heads. An uncomfortable pressure was building on their eyes, like someone was pressing down with a finger before it ended. When they opened their eyes, they had changed from their previous brown and blue to a golden amber. Richie was the first to speak up, "Holy Crap! I can see..."
Angel nodded, "Yeah, I can see the individual hairs on you're head. A little harder to tone down then normal. See that second curse card wasn't so bad. Now you got some of the best eyes there are. You'll even be able to avoid future curses now that we can tell what type of card each space will give us."
Darwin picked up the dice next and looked at everyone else, "Looks like I'm the only one that's still normal. Here's hoping my luck holds out."
