A kid who looks like a younger version of this new you. It must be the 10-year-old brother. YOUR 19 year-old brother! Cool! You grin, but then realize you don;t even know his name! "Uhhh..."
The boy laughs and sticks out a hand. "I'm Carter. Your new bother."
"Huh?" You are shocked to find out he knows you aren;t the right boy.
"Oh, yeah. I switched, too - the real Carter was tired of being a kid, and he's now a college jock. I graduated college a year ago and hated working, so I got to be a kid again!"
You stare at the kid. "Do our parents know?"
"Nah." Carter goes over to the desk and picks up a junior high school yearbook, flipping it open. He shows you the photo of a dark-haireed boy with a finger blocking the name. "Who's that?"
"Johnny Martin." You blink, knowing you are right. He's been a friend of yours since fourth grade. But you've never seen him before!
Carter giggles. "Welcome to your new life. Unless you really think about it, you'll just BE Christian. You'll know the names, how to act, even what stuff Christian likes and doesn't like. It helps a lot, but sorta sucks, too. I forgot all my education past 4th grade, so I have to learn it all over."
