Dan stopped by the video store to pick up a few movies and headed home. Unwinding on the couch, he put in a movie and had a beer.
Unfortunately, the movie wasn't so great, and he lost interest. Instead, he got up and went to his computer to find an English/Latin dictionary online.
After about ten minutes, he had his translation for the ring's inscription.
"Behold the ring of power. Place it on your finger, and raise your hand to the heavens. As you command, so it shall be, but know that this fate cannot be undone for seven days."
Huh. Made it sound like it was some kind of wishing ring! Yeah, right.
While watching the next movie (and several beers later), he watched the female lead getting undressed. A stir of desire ran through him, and he found himself curious.
What's it like to be a woman?
Chuckling to himself, he put on the ring and held it up. "Ok, um...I want to be a girl. A pretty one. Yeah, that's it...young too."
He felt a jolt run down his arm, and he passed out.
