After nearly a month with Uncle Jack, hanging out and helping him with his store, your parents returned to pick you up. Since the incident with the wolf costume, you resisted the urge to try the other ones on. No sense in being worse off. To be honest, you were dreading the next full moon.
Uncle Jack explained everything you your parents, apologized profusely, but made it absolutely clear to them there was nothing he could do to reverse the spell. Since their idiot son had failed to remove the costume before dawn, he was doomed to be a werewolf for the rest of his life. Your mom cried, cursing Jack for being so irresponsible. Your Dad took the news in stride, almost as if he were expecting something like this to happen.
The three of your drove home in silence. There was nothing left to say. You still felt terrible about things, but there was no one to change it. You just had to roll with the punches and move on. You had the first day of school to look forward to as well, which of course fell on the day of the full moon. Tomorrow was going to be a packed day, for sure.
When you arrived home, you took your bags upstairs to your room and stayed their for the remainder of the night. You just couldn't stand to face them right now.
