"You know Buzz, I think it would be best to grab some breakfast for now and I would like for you to accompany me. I will have the cooks make us up something and we will just serve ourselves."
"Are you sure David? You know it is my job to serve you and do whatever you want... to a point, that is."
"Yes Buzz, I am completely aware of that and because I want you to eat breakfast with me, you do have to comply... correct?"
"Well... yes and no. I do not have to do anything outside of my duties that I do not want to, such as not serving you your food. However, I think it would be nice to sit down and eat for a change."
"Well... that is definitely wonderful news to hear! Now, let's get some grub... shall we?"
Buzz smiled slightly, finding it nice to be working for David, a carefree individual unlike some of the typical stuck-up clientele he was used to. From your room, the pair head down the grand hall, down the master stairs, through the center door, then down another long corridor and finally wound up in the large dining room... which could be considered such as well as another sitting room where eating was done.
Sensing a disturbance in the area, one of the cooks peeked his head from the kitchen door and inquired what David and Buzz would like. David ordered his typical two eggs over medium with sausage, bacon and hash-browns. Buzz, having heard the order salivated slightly and shouted he would just have the same thing. Once the chef went to work, preparing the food and what not, David and Buzz returned to their question and answer session.
"So... Buzz, what else can you tell me about this secret room and the mysterious DNA sickness?"
"What I have already told you is about all that I know for sure, now... there have been rumors since that day."
"Oh... such as?"
"Well, one of the oldest staff members here claim that your descendant was working on something that would alter a person's physiology. He claimed that after he overcame the initial illness, he noticed that his muscles were slightly stronger and bigger, not to mention all of his illnesses went away. The one he enjoyed the most was the regrowth of the hair on the top of his head."
"So... one of my ancestors found the fountain of youth, so to speak eh?"
"It would seem that way David, but I cannot tell you for sure. He did pass away two years ago before you moved in and claimed the estate for yourself."
"Well... why don't the two of us go check out that room after breakfast then?"
"I suppose we could, but I do recall that he told me right before he died that if I were to ever go in the room, I needed to be careful."
"Did he say why?"
"The only thing that he said was that whatever your ancestor worked on would bring out the beast from within. I have no idea what that meant, but I am sure he meant that it just made our primal sides more of a dominant trait."
"Well... I suppose we just need to be careful then, don't we?"
Buzz just nodded as they sat down on the stools in front of the breakfast bar right when their food was sat in front of them. Buzz and David breathed in the aroma of the food, enjoying how it smelled before enjoying it's taste. Little did the two of them know that this would be their last "normal" breakfast.
