The demon wolves gathered around the leader of their pack. He began to shake, and as he did so his hair fell off, his legs thickened, and he began to stand on his hind legs rather than all fours. As he continued, he became a human being whose only traces of the paranormal were an unusual hairiness, a mouthful of teeth meant for tearing flesh, and if one looked closely enough, a demonic light behind the eyes.
"They don't need five girls. That last girl combined two elements, and that little rat was probably her animal companion. Their team is complete." He snarled. "I don't need to tell you what a disaster this is. A complete magical girl team is much more than the sum of its individual members."
"But they aren't together yet." interjected the largest of the female demon wolves, who had morphed to a being somewhat between the human she had originally been, a wolf, and the form of the demon who had possessed her.
"That's the one thing we have left. It's vital to keep Marry away from the other magical girls. Fortunately, we have pastor Winston for that." He turned his eyes to a mangy looking humanoid wolf.
"Pastor Winston is still strongly under our influence. He believes that by opposing all supernaturals, he's somehow fulfilling the will of God." the mangy wolf responded as the other demon wolves shook with laughter.
"His influence over his parishioners is not absolute, though. It looks as if the parents of the last girl have been reconciled with their new daughter too quickly." the demon wolf leader resumed. "The same thing could easily happen with Marry's parents. We can't rely on them, we need to take action. Winston has another exorcism scheduled. What if the ritual is a little different this time? The last exorcism accomplished nothing because there was no demon to exorcise. What if this time the exorcism actually implants a demon in Marry's soul?"
"But Winston would never do that." the female wolf responded.
"Up until now, we've operated on the good pastor indirectly--direct demonic possession would trigger too many alarms. I think it's about time we raised the stakes." he bared his teeth. "The pastor needs to become a member of the pack."
