If Carrie had known a little more about Mr Jean Greene, she wouldn't have given him the white rectangular box.
There had been a second note in that box once, but Mr Greene had looked the other way while a little bird took it away.
After he had driven her back to her parents house he had asked her in a offhand way if he could have the box the bracelet had been in.He had a much nicer jewellry box he would trade it for.
She eagerly accepted his offer and dashed in the house with her new charm bracelet and a $49.99 K mart box made in Taiwan.
Mr Greene too was pleased and whistled as he drove off with a white box.A box made from the powdered remains of the egg she had hatched from.
For She was really Jeannie Shezerade, unloved daughter of the King and Queen of the dragon djinns.
It had all begun in 1270 AD,when Sir Jean Greene had become separated from his fellow crusaders in a desert.
He had wandered till he came upon the ruins of an ancient temple half buried in the sand.He had entered it and heard grunts and hisses coming from one of the tunnels.
He had followed the noises deep into caverns till he came upon a spacious cavern piled with jewels, wine and spiced food.
In the center sat two huge four legged dragons dressed in silk and chains of gold and jewels.
The two beasts were dragon djinns and so Sir Jean demanded that they grant him three wishes.
Problem was he didn't own the receptacles( a magic lamp) they were bound to,so they ignored him and got back to love making.
He asked a second time he asked.
On the third time the male suddenly swung out his neck and swallowed Sir Jean and got back to the more important task.
Sir Jean dissolved and was remade, and soon all it knew was that it had to impregnate that ovum as it whipped it's tail.
It was successful and slowly Jeannie regained conciousness as her body reformed inside her egg.
A month later she hatched and staggered about the cavern,a new born dragon djinn.
Her mom and dad told her the facts of dragon djinn life and told her of her parentage. She was Jeannie Shezerade, daughter of the King and Queen of the dragon djinn.
As she watched the fragments of her egg were crushed and reformed into a small white rectangular box.
Her father pointed his talons at the box and with a flash of light a curse in arabic was engraved on the inside of the lid.
Then her mother pointed her talon, and a blessing in mesopotamian was engraved beside the curse.
Finally they clothed her in gold jewels and silks and sent her back into the world of man.
She had slumbered for a century when some passing beduin found her box sticking out of the sand.
He flipped open the lid,but there was nothing inside.Just on the offchance he rubbed it and immediately a huge column of green mist rose out of the box and formed into a towering dragoness who stretched up to the clouds and whose wings strteched from one horizon to the next.
Her instincts told her to say <how may i serve you master?> but she forgot about the speech while she tried to figure out which little speck beneath her was her master.
Then she spotted him and lowered her head to better see him.
