Memories of all that was his life and even about his own body seemed but a weird dream. As if suddenly he became fully aware of his surroundings, Steve knew El Magnifico had made of him and his future that of a common male donkey "Jack".

The very thought of his becoming an animal and a donkey too held in him a conflict as to should he just give in, being he was most assuredly a donkey; should he let the animal win away any possible chance of him being again a human? That question and a wealth of strange sensual feelings bade him accept what it is to become a donkey used for stud on a farm.

Wild and weird as it seemed, as he stood and stared, his mind taking mental notes as to all the sensations, even that of his donkey maleness unraveling, gaining in weight, bulk, and moving out of its protective sheath. He felt this and from the feeling came the words spoken into his ears, those said to him by El Magnifico!"
