The next morning your alarm goes off at 9:00. You jump out of bed, surprised at how well you slept. When you think about it, it's not all that strange considering you got much more than your usual amount of sleep.
You remember why your alarm was set, as well. You have a lunch interview for a managerial position at a local accounting office. You've been unemployed for a couple weeks since the retail store you worked at closed down, and you have a really good feeling about your prospects.
That's probably contributing to why you're so energized today. You casually gather your clothes for the day, also getting out your shirt, tie and pants for the interview. Then you head into the bathroom for a shower.
As you take off your night shirt, you spot your reflection in the bathroom mirror. Something about it looks strange, but you can't figure out why. You shrug and turn on the shower.
The warm water feels incredible. You once again think about the quality of your skin as you soap up. You shampoo your hair gently. You don't usually take a long time in the shower, but today you feel like you need it.
You rinse off thoroughly. With regret, you force yourself to turn off the water and you start to dry yourself off. You step out of the shower as you towel your hair. The lingering steam in the bathroom keeps you warm until you're completely dry.
You look in the mirror again, and this time you're sure something's off. When did your hair get that long? Your last haircut was two weeks ago, but it looks like it's grown almost an inch already. This isn't good. The last thing you want to do is look all shaggy for your job interview.
There's something else about you...something different about your face. But that's not important right now. You'll have to get a haircut before the interview, no doubt about it.
You throw on some casual clothes and eat a quick breakfast. If you're going to get a haircut, it'll have to happen within the hour, or you won't make it on time.
