You try to push aside your worries and make some eggs and toast for breakfast. You struggle to eat. This ordeal is upsetting your stomach.
Afterward, you look for things to do around the apartment while you wait for Lee to call. You tidy up the kitchen and living room. You and Clay aren't slobs, but you leave a good amount of clutter.
Next you throw your clothes in the washer. You sniff the air and realize that the damp clothes from the other night still smell of the lake, although they've dried since then. You throw the jeans into the machine, but you notice they don't quite feel like denim. Thinking it's just the residual lake water, you forget about it and finish loading.
After the machine is running, you plop in front of the television and try your best to zone out until lunchtime.
Around noon, you go to make yourself a sandwich and realize there's no bread left in the kitchen. You didn't notice because of everything going on lately, but you and Clay have been low on groceries for a few days.
You don't want to go out for food. One, you've got to make your money last...but you realize you'll have to buy groceries at some point. Two, you really don't want anybody to see you with your ridiculous girl hair.
Your stomach grumbles, reminding you of your much smaller waistline. You need to keep eating or you'll waste away. What are you going to do?
