Ty figured he would confront Kai in an area that suited Ty. Out in public, where he could toss Ty around like a rag doll! Sure Ty could use his powers in a secluded area, but he figured he would save those for when he really needed to defend himself... He could always make Kai action figure-sized for easier handling. Ty followed Kai out and noticed him leaving towards the shopping district and he also pulled out a piece of paper. Kai was most likely going to the local Shop Rite to get some food - which was a perfect place to talk to Kai on the same level.
Ty entered the store where he was following Kai - he had to keep his distance because he was sure Kai could probably smell him from a few yards away. Once in the store, he lost sight of Kai.
"Dammit, how do you lose a seven foot something guy!" Ty murmured to himself as he began peering down each aisle. Soon enough, he found the big guy in the meat section. Ty could only plant his face in his palms while muttering "I think I should've seen that coming..."
Ty approached the tiger and tapped on his shoulder. Ty expected him to flinch or whirl around, but he did nothing of the sort. Instead he replied with that oh so familiar tone that was colder than the refrigerated meats they were in front of.
"I though I made it clear."
"Well it's your fault for getting all hostile. You know something. I don't know something. I want to know that something that you know but I don't know what that something is. So what are you really? What am *I* really?" Ty tried to sound like he was jesting, then perhaps the tiger would see Ty meant him no harm.
"No." Kai curtly replied as he moved along the aisle, looking though all the meats and placing some into his carry-basket.
"That's not even a yes or no question! Hm wait… How could you tell I was following you... You didn't even look back and you were way ahead of me!" Ty tried to keep himself calm, but it was really hard for him to do so with so many questions running around in his fragile little mind.
"I smelled you from afar. Now leave me alone." Kai said as he began inspecting a pound of ground beef.
"Well come on, that's cold."
"Yes it is. That's because it has had cold air venting over it for the past few hours."
"Uh..." Ty was a bit confused at the moment about what Kai just said. "That's a... joke? So we're getting somewhere, right?"
"I find your persistence amusing. If you want some answers I could tell you them, but not here."
"So at my place!"
"After shopping. If I'm seen with you by certain people I will be a shamed. Now just leave me be."
"Right then, uh, here's my address." Ty began writing on a piece of paper and handed it to the tiger. "There you go. See you there!"
"You seem too excited... If I even smell the hint of a trap, I'll rend you with my claws."
"Cool~ You have claws?"
"GO!"
"Okay, fine, geez!"
Ty gracefully left the store as if he were performing on a day time drama. This just left Kai there, shaking his head. Perhaps silently saying no to himself when the question 'should I really go there?' arose in his mind. Or maybe Ty’s idea of a joke seemed to make Kai embarrassed for Ty.
