Dan was carried out the back of the house in the cage and placed on the grass by his parents. They opened the door and he scampered out onto the grass, feeling incredibly wierd.
"Okay, I don't know what's going on but you're changing me back, right?" Dan said, looking up at his parents and moving his newly-elongated ears from his immediate view. They didn't reply, and he looked around.
A hutch. For rabbits.
"No... No. You have to be joking."
"This is Kat's present from us, Daniel," his mom pleaded. "Her powers come naturally. It's tradition for a witch's parents to give her a present related to her powers for her Witchday."
"So I have to sit in a rabbit hutch all day like a smelly rabbit?!"
"You ARE a rabbit, where else would you stay?" His dad joked. "Anyway, Kat wanted either this or to make me a dog. I wouldn't make a good dog, Dan."
"And I won't make a good rabbit!"
