As soon as Ric completed his incantation, the angry man in his late 50s began to morph horribly. He bulged and contracted to ways that greatly upset Cassandra.
"Papa?" she pleaded. All the while, her father, Arturo, seemed to be growing generally smaller, although parts of him were growing larger, especialy his hair, which
formed strange patterns as it shifted colors from gray to blonde to henna. It finally stopped at jet black as it twisted into two rear pigtails. At that point, the
morphing stopped. The man who had been Arturo was now looking up at both Cassandra and Ric, clutching his now oversized and badly ripped clothing.
"He looks like a girl, no older than 10," Ric gasped. "Noooo!" the changed person wailed in a now totally girlish voice. In doing so, person released her grip on the
adult male clothing, allowing it to drop to the ground, revealing her to be wearing a crop-top camisole with lace trim, knee socks, and girl's panties with ruffles
around the leg holes and the inscription "Lunes" on the top-right front. "This is terrible," the former Arturo squeaked. "I'll say. Those day-of-the-week panties are
inscribed for Monday, but today is Saturday," Cassandra said.
On taking a closer look at the newly-minted girl, Cassandra at first looked astonished, then smiled broadly. "Gina?" she asked. "You are my long missing sister
Gina. You vanished just after your ninth birthday. And despite 15 years of being missing, you haven't changed much," Cassandra excitedly exclaimed. "I cannot
wait to renew our sisterly relationship."
Gina (or is that Arturo) was less interested in becoming Cassandra's kid sister. "Get me out of this," she demanded of Ric who, enjoying the discomfort Gina was
displaying, turned a few pages of the Book of Transformations, and blurted out another spell. He didn't understand this one, since it was written in 14th century
Bohemian, and he hoped that he pronounced all the words correctly, so that the spell would come out right. Gina began to morph again. But this time, she...
