Transform or Dare?

It's like some anime tiny exception!

added 14 years ago A

Fortunately for Jennifer, there was nobody at the bus stop. A sigh of relief exited her mouth, as she sat down on the bench. No one here, good. Cars zipped by back and forth for ten minutes, with them she thought to herself,

"How many others have gotten this curse?"

A Toyota drove by and she wondered if the old man driving it had cursed himself. A bad thought happened all of a sudden...what if that Toyota WAS an old man?! What if he was cursed into a car?! Would the town curse work that way?!

Jennifer shivered visibly, it probably looked a little awkward when she looked up and the bus was right there. It lowered towards her level with a loud hissing noise and she looked up.

She blushed a little at the thought of the bus driver looking down, noticing a pair of sunglasses that would look more at home on the face of Elton John than anything else. She glanced up at the squinting bus driver, before quickly pushing her glasses up. A-yah! They were sliding down her face!!

She quickly stepped on and then put a couple quarters she had laying in her room in the slot and then sat down at the back of the bus, ignoring the glances from people about her shades.

"I need an eye patch..." she thought to herself.

She tried to avoid any potential eye contact with the other passengers on the bus. Jennifer blanked out almost, waiting to get off at a stop nearby Kyle's house so she can kick his ass. But then again though, what about an eyepatch? If he pulled off the glasses, then it's all over.

As if she were ripping off Yami Yugi or Light Yagami or other chessmaster heroes who are always two steps ahead, she started to wonder how she could be two steps ahead of Kyle. Even if he was two steps ahead of HER. Jennifer smiled in her fantasy of kicking Kyle's ass and making the curse backfire on him.

A loud series of ripping and twanging sounds from the front of the bus snapped Jennifer out of her fantasies. Several people nervously pulled the 'stop' cords and whispered to each other. no one was actually gasping, but she certainly felt like she should.

The bus driver seemed to have nearly doubled in size, height and width. He looked to be a massive brown mass of fur and muscle. Jennifer's hand slapped her mouth. How did he see her eyes?! Was it when her glasses slipped down and he saw her?! The bus started to slow down, nearing its stop as Jennifer could notice a pair of round ears poking its way out of the top of the animal's head. He definitely looked like a bear but he didn't even seem to notice.

"...but they won't care," Kyle's voice echoed in her head, the bus squeaking its way to the stop. Everyone seemed to shudder in fear at the same time she did.

"Fleet Street," echoed over the intercom. It sounded like a distorted metallic voice they would use in cartoons, video games, and movies to give a sense of intimidation about someone. What the hell kind of creature was this? Jennifer certainly didn't know of bugbears, but when the doors opened she decided she didn't want to find out!

Everyone seemed to tear off the bus, especially upon seeing the glowing eyes that would remind them of IT in the mirror. Jennifer didn't even sit around to see the ursine deadlights, she stepped right on out, holding her glasses.

"...what's up with them?" The new bugbear thought, "...and I need some new clothes." he didn't even care that he wasn't human anymore.

Kyle meanwhile sat back in his room, with a book of mythological creatures covering his face. Monsters from every culture imaginable, he almost wished that some fictional ones would appear. He smirked, laying back on his bed, he wondered what he should be...maybe a dragon? Or a male Gorgon? Or something else? The possibilities were endless! His bride was likely on his way as far as he knew her.

Meanwhile, Jennifer looked around where she was on fleet street, thankful that no one blamed the girl with Elton John glasses on the sudden appearance of a bear on the bus. There was a hospital nearby, and it was definitely not JUST a hospital with a clinic, they might even have a medical supplies shop with an eyepatch she could get. But they may have not allowed her inside or to even buy one without a doctor's note.

Jennifer initiated her chessmaster mode here. Should she steal an eyepatch, or find a way to make one by herself? She figured the more protection she had when she would confront the overlord-to-be Kyle, the better. But also nearby there was a sub stop. Maybe she was hungry, maybe she wasn't. Or maybe she should just confront him without preparation? It WOULD take a little while before she could get near his house, maybe something would pop up along the way.

OR what about the police? She couldn't tell them the story....could she? What if they knew about the curse? Or what about the library? Perhaps that bookworm Anita at the library could probably help, but why would she help someone who usually ignored or even scorned her?
