Because there was no sizable airport in the immediate area, I opted on driving. My expense allowance precluded a flight to Chicago and car rental anyway...
Driving was really getting boring by the time I was approaching the area, which may be why I began to notice things. I saw a number of signs for a horse farm and advertising stud services... I didnt see this many even in Kentucky! All the ads had the same address or phone number. I only stopped long enough to take some digital photos of a couple signs. I hoped this wasnt' like that missing persons case in Barkin, Texas. What worried me was the horse farm's name was similar to the motel, being 'Deja View Farms'.
I soon found myself in Hell. No, not that one, but that would only be an improvement. The town was big enough, being a crossroads for major traffic from Chicago and any other big city around. Yet, something about it suggested decay or uncleanliness to my senses. -The ones that get me cases Fox Mulder wouldnt' take. I soon found what I was looking for, near the bus station and convention center/arena for the local college (who's mascot seems to be a mustang, oddly enough).
As I slowed for a look at the De'Ja'Vu Motel, I saw a line of pastures behind it, the fences proudly labled "Deja View Farms"
I shuddered "I hate this job sometimes..."
