While the Age and Animal Wings sounded interesting Rick decided to go to the Gender Wing first. He had always felt that he should have been born a girl. If the resort could transform him he would soon be a girl. He picked up his bags and headed to the trolley for the Gender Wing. As he did he noticed others getting off the other trolleys and going on different ones. There was only one other person that got on the Gender Trolley with him. She had gotten off the Animal Trolley and looked like an anthro lizard. She had brown pebbly skin with black stripes on her back around her sides and stopping just as they reached the front. On her front from her chest to her crotch her skin was yellow. This coloration continued on her tail. She had some wicked looking claws on her hands and feet. Her legs were arranged so she was standing in a digitigrade stance. Her breasts looked like an average size. She had brown hair down to a little past her shoulders. Her face was pushed out into a muzzle and her eyes were yellow with cat like pupils. When she smiled she showed sharp teeth designed to tear.
Rick was a little scared since almost everything about this lady screamed predator. He became less scared when she said "Hello. My name is Maria. There is no need to be scared of me. I won't harm you."
"That's good to know" Rick said in a pretty calm voice. "My name is Rick. I'd shake your hand but those claws of your's might do some damage. What are you anyway?"
"Oh I'm an Anthro Raptor" Maria said. "It's so good to be in a body I feel comfortable in. Though I still don't feel as comfortable as I could. I'm going to the Gender Wing to become male. I'm assuming that you're going to become female."
"Well yes" Rick said blushing a bit. By this time the trolley had started moving and they had entered the Gender Wing. He looked out and saw a mall go past. They were out in the open with walls on either side. Those had to be the rooms and it looked like it was nine floors. He wondered how many rooms there were.
Guessing what Rick was thinking Maria said "Each floor has two thousand five hundred rooms. There are a thousand rooms on each side and five hundred rooms on the end. All the rooms open up to the inside. Each wing is approximately ten miles by five miles. The trolleys go thirty miles an hour and there are frequent stops along the way so it takes about thirty-five minutes to get from one end to the other."
"How do you know so much?" Rick asked.
"I work here" Maria said.
"Must be nice" Rick said.
"Oh it is" Maria said. "I don't have to worry about deciding if I want to be permanently changed upon leaving or going back to my old self. This way I can keep my memories and stay in my preferred body."
"What do you mean keep your memories?" Rick asked.
"Oh at the end of your stay here you have the option of leaving as your different self" Maria said. "There is a catch though. If you choose to leave like that there is a mental change. You would no longer remember your life before you came here. You would remember a different life."
"I see" Rick said. "What is there to do here?"
"Well there are many things to do" Maria said. "You can go to the movies or shopping, there's parks, the Age Wing has an amusement park, the Gender Wing has a water park, and the Animal Wing has a wilderness park. There are different salons in each wing, arcades, internet and LAN cafés, and of course movie and game rental stores. There is a high end computer in each room which you will need to get an outfit when you change."
"Why is that?" Rick asked as they passed the water park.
"It is because your clothes don't change with you" Maria said.
"Oh" Rick said. "What do you do here?"
"I police the animal wing" Maria said. "I have today off and I'm going to enjoy today and tomorrow."
"Are you going to change your gender?" Rick asked.
"I am" Maria answered with a smile. "The reason is two parts. First, I'm not all that comfortable in a female body. Second, guests tend to not listen to me as well as the male officers."
"It would be nice to work here" Rick said. "My company just downsized and I was one of the casualties."
"Well there are positions available" Maria said. "The pay is good and you're provided with living space."
"I think I'll check into it" Rick said.
"I hope you do decide to become a part of the resort" Maria said.
Rick looked out and said "I hope so too. I would like to get to know you better. My room number is 11251."
"That's right next to mine" Maria said. "My room is 11252. The trolley stops right in front of room 11250. It's also on the ground floor so you don't have to wait for the elevator or take the stairs."
"That's good to know" Rick said.
"Well we're coming up on our stop now" Maria said.
"Already?" Rick asked confused. He knew the trolley had stopped several times but he didn't think a half hour had passed. Evidently it did since he noticed the room number at the stop was 11250.
Maria exited the trolley and picking up his bags Rick did the same. With a promise to see Maria later he opened his door and stepped in.
The room was bigger than Rick had expected. There was a relatively large main room and off to the side a kitchenette with a stove, fridge, oven, sink, and microwave. There was a flat screen plasma TV in the main room along with a couple of chairs and a couch. The computer was on a desk next to the TV. Off on the other side of the main room was the bedroom with a single queen bed, a wardrobe, and a full length mirror. The bathroom was just off of the bedroom and it did have a tub in it. Rick guessed that the whole room was fifty-five feet by fifteen feet.
Rick went into the bedroom and stripped down to nothing. He wanted to see the transformation happen. He looked at himself in the mirror. Staring back at him was the reflection of a thirty-five year old man with a bit of a gut. His dick was on the small side and he had never been able to get a hard on even when he was sexually excited.
