Becky shows fang and moves to take the fish away from the male. “You like males instead of bitches?” she asks lowering her muzzle to sniff at the bit of fish she now holds under one paw. “N-no, I just need to talk to Bryan” Iiumni answer with a hint of nervousness in his voice. He tries to avoid eye contact with the bitch as she raises her tail as a sign of dominance. “Why do you want to talk to him? Shouldn’t you try to mount me or that other Bitch like all the other males?” Becky asks as she tears off a piece of the fish. ”But, you have rejected all of the other males and every one of them had higher rank then me. I’m the omega. So why should I even try?” Iiumni whines. Becky continues eating her meal without even looking up. “But what if I don’t like the other males and I like you? Have you ever though of that?” Iiumni is surprised by the response. Did she just want a excuse to bite and show dominance or are some parts of her mind still human so she still have the human way of valuing males?
But before Iiumni are able to decide how to react, Bryan walks up to him. “Iiumni, have you seen Amber?” asks Bryan and look really worried. Both Becky and Iiumni look up at him. Iiumni sounds relieved “Oh, finally Bryan, I wanted to talk to you about that! I just saw Keula and Amber walk away together away from the camp” Bryan growls, pounce Iiumni and pins him to the ground with his front paws. “What!? Why didn’t you tell me earlier?!” Bryan growls at him. Iiumni’s whole body is shaking. “I’m sorry! I tried to tell you!” He whines. “He’s right, you shouldn’t be so hard on him. He tried to tell you” Becky adds and looks up at Bryan for a short second, and then she continues eating her fish. Bryan becomes a little calmer. “Ok, so you tried to tell me earlier… now tell me: which way did they go?” Still pined down by Bryan, Iiumni uses his muzzle to point in the direction Keula and Amber disappeared. “They went that way” Barks Iiumni. Bryan gets off Iiumni and begins running in the direction the husky pointed.
The musher looks with interest at the three dogs and wonder why one of the newcomers to the team is obviously upset worried about something. That’s when he suddenly notices that Keula, the leader dog and the new bitch, Amber isn’t here in the camp anymore. He understand that that’s must be the reason for Bryans worries. When the musher sees Bryan runs out into the night. He quickly decides that it’s best to follow the dog, to keep an eye on him so nothing happens.
