There was an abandoned house that lay near the border of a town. It had previously been owned years ago by some foreign couple that no one could remember, and nothing was unusual about them... until the couple was found dead one morning, with no sign of what killed them; their bodies were fresh and not rotting, and there were absolutely no signs of foul play... or natural death at that. No matter what tests were performed on the bodies nothing could be discovered about the couples' deaths. Heart attack, murder, stroke... it was proven to be none of these and that the couple had simply "died." Since then the house was considered haunted by the other town residents, some of who claimed to hear or see a spirit roaming around the house, unsure of who or what it really was.
Tonight was supposed to be a regular night in the house. Everything would have been eerily quiet just like any other abandoned house, everything inside undisturbed and untouched... but a group of teenagers, on a dare from their friends, had decided to come in and spend the night in the place. There were two boys and three girls: the twin raven-haired boys were Tom and Alex, and they were accompanied by a tall, curvy brunette named Philia, a middle-sized, well-endowed yet bookish girl named Nina, and an average-looking girl named Sherrie. They all came into the house completely tense due to all the horror stories they had heard about... but the bet of a thousand dollars divided between the group was too tempting to chicken out of the dare.
"A..are you sure we should be up here?" Alex said timidly. He was the most cautious and nervous of the group, and still had doubts despite the potential cash prize. Tom rolled his eyes. "Well duh." Tom said derisively, "it's easy money. There are never any such things as ghosts, and yet we're gonna be paid a grand just to spend a night in this dump. Just remember that there's no such thing as ghosts, ok?"
Tom could not be further from the truth; watching over them from above, invisible to human eyes, was a formless soul. It was happy to see people finally come into the house, as now the spirit could fulfill its goals completely... but just what did the spirit have in mind?
