"How long has it been Dawn?" Katie asked.
"It's been a ten minutes" Dawn said.
Kate nodded and said "Your pupils should be constricted enough now. Hold your watch near her so we can see." As soon as Dawn did Kate saw that Stacy's pupils were only slightly constricted. To someone else it would look like they hadn't constricted at all but Kate was able to notice smaller changes now. Kate sighed and said "I guess the drops didn't work as well as I thought they would. I guess you'll have to wear those goggles."
"You don't know much about Driders do you?" Rachael asked.
"And I suppose you do" Kate retorted.
"I know some" Rachael said. "My older brother tried to get me into Dungeons and Dragons. I didn't but I did learn some things about Drow and Driders. In addition to seeing in the visible range they can see into the infrared range. This allows them to see in near total darkness. That's why her eyes are so sensitive to light."
"Well we need to go look for the book" Tanya said. "I just hope we can find it before anyone else does."

Willy Pulman was on his way to lunch. First though he had to stop in and use the restroom. He peeked inside before he did to make sure that a couple of guys weren't in there. It was common knowledge around school that he was a cross-dresser. He only wore panties and a bra to school but at home he dressed up. He still used the boy's restroom and he had run into a couple of guys in there before that didn't look upon his cross-dressing too kindly. So it was with relief that he saw there was no one in there. As he passed the sinks he saw an open book on the counter but he needed to pee so he passed it on his way to a stall. He put out his hands to catch himself and his hand had touched the picture in the book. He removed his hand but the book was already glowing and before he could do or say anything the glow had engulfed him and he blacked out.
Willy couldn't feel his black hair grow longer or breasts develop. He couldn't feel his body gain a feminine form. He didn't feel the black feathered wings sprout from his back or his feet turn into talons. He didn't feel his lower legs become bird like or black feathers grow on the rest of his legs. He didn't feel his dick and balls pull into his body and form their female counterparts.

"What's your name?" Rachael asked Stacy as they began their search for the book.
"It's Stacy" Stacy said. "You know I've been thinking about that book."
"What have you been thinking?" Dawn asked.
"Well I've been thinking that the book may not be teleporting itself" Stacy said.
"Then how does it vanish?" Kate asked.
"I think the answer is simple" Stacy said. "Dawn has said that perhaps the book is dropping us into alternate realities. If that's true then it may simply be that the book is in a different place in each reality."
"That makes sense" Rachael said. "So where do we start looking for the book?"
"I don't know" Dawn said. "You, me, and Tanya encountered it in the library. Kate encountered it in the nurse's office."
"And I encountered it in the Mythology classroom" Stacy said. "So is there a pattern?"
"Not that I can see right now" Rachael said.
At that moment Stacy said "There's a glow coming from the boy's restroom."
"You sure?" Tanya asked but Rachael, Dawn, Kate, and Stacy were already heading into the restroom. Tanya shrugged her shoulders and followed them.
Inside they found a nude boy engulfed in the blue glow. They watched helplessly as he was transformed into a female Harpy. That was the only thing he could have been transforming into with the wings and talons. Suddenly the glow engulfed them and they lost consciousness one by one. Dawn was the last and before she lost consciousness she saw the student ID of the boy change. The name went from William Pulman to Millicent Pulman and Human changed to Harpy. 'And another one joins the club' Dawn thought. 'Why was the book in here though? And our clothes are gone again.' She lost consciousness after this last thought.
