Ty stood there, stunned that someone could walk through a door he willed to be closed. His mind raced at what he should do, on how he could escape this situation. Pulling on his power he tried to banish Dan, back outside. The other youth smiled and remained in Ty's room. He walked over to a chair and sat down, giving a shrug. Ty tried again, this time pushing a little harder. The room shuddered, some of the items on the shelves falling off. Still, Dan remained in the room, chuckling. Fuming, Ty tried one last time, shutting his eyes and giving it all he had. He heard a loud thud as the room shook with the intesity of an earthquake. He opened his eyes with a smile of triumph but quickly lost it as he saw that Dan had only fallen out of his chair.
"Ow, that hurt." He stood up and brushed himself off.
"Alright, who are you and how can you block my power?" Ty started to advance on the intruder, but quickly realised that was a bad idea. "I want answers and I want them now."
"Chill out Ty, getting mad with get you nowhere. Trust me." He picked the chair back up and sat down again. Ty growled and took a step forward. "Okay okay, I'll explain some things. Now sit down and calm down. You may learn a few things."
Ty remained standing, though the chair growing out of the floor quickly fixed that. Dan tossed him a soda out of a cooler that was now built into the table beside him. "Well, first things first. I was not blocking your power, can't do that. Not fully anyway. I can resist any direct changes to my person because of some failsafes I made a while ago, and I can change or alter as well as undo anything you've done. Again to certain extents. Instead of blocking your attempts to move me, I found the loophole."
"Loophole, what loophole?" Ty opened the drink and took a swig.
"Simple, instead of keeping you from moving me, and possibly burning myself out, I simply tied you and the room to my location. So anytime you moved me, you moved yourself." Dan took a swig of his drink and looked over at Ty, noticing the sweat on his brow. "bet you feel really drained right now, don't you?"
"No!" Ty lied, he didn't want this guy to know that he was slightly out of breath. As well as really drained from that last attempt.
"You're a horrible liar, but it's okay. I'm not going to do anything, other than protect myself of course. What I am gonna do..." Another sip of the soda, which by now Ty noticed it wasn't any brand he had heard of. "is teach you how to do what I just did. Find ways to use your abilities without overtaxing yourself."
"Why would I trust you? And what do you gain from this?" Ty glared again, although he couldn't sense any lies, he couldn't read much from this guy. He kept trying to remember where he knew Dan from, but for some reason the memory kept burying itself.
"Just, a favor I owe someone. That and you getting caught and revealed would cause the rest of us a lot of grief." He turned around and turned Ty's computer on.
"Wait, there are more?"
"Of course. Though it's rare for awakenings to happen so close together." Dan went online and pulled up some sites.
"When... when did you, awaken?" Dan, paused at Ty's question, then continued typing in something on a website.
