Ken woke up, a few rays of sunshine hitting him in the face. He groaned, putting his arm over his face, trying to go back to sleep.
"What a weird dream," he thought to himself, as he laid there.
"Ken?" his mother said, poking his head into his room. "It's time to get up."
"Yeah, yeah," he replied. Wait a minute. His voice was higher than usual. MUCH higher. He got of bed and approached the mirror in his room.
Staring back at him was the body of a 10 year old boy. But something was different. Instead of being the height he was at that age, roughly 5 feet, he was now much shorter than that. In fact, if he had to guess, Ken would say he was closer to 4 feet now.
He panicked, running over to his closet, going through all of his clothes. Strangely enough, all of his clothes had been shrunk down to fit his smaller frame.
He just stood there, in shock. How could this have happened to him? And could it be reversed?
A few minutes later, Anna walked in to check on her brother. Ken turned his head to get an even bigger shock. His younger sister, who usually only came up to his chin, now towered over him by at least a foot. He barely came up to her neck now.
"Ken? Is everything okay? Mother has breakfast ready." She walked over to him, putting a hand on his shoulder.
"How could she act as if everything was okay?" he thought to himself. "Doesn't she notice how much smaller he is?
"Anna! You've got to help me!" Ken said, a little scared. "You see, I had this dream last night. This woman appeared to me in the dream and made me younger. I'm supposed to be your 16 year old brother!"
Anna smiled down at him. Boys and their wild imaginations, she thought to herself. "It's okay," she reassured him, patting him on the head. "It was only a dream. Everything's okay now."
Getting frustrated, Ken shook her hand off him. "Look. I was having a wet dream about Janice McComb, then out of nowhere, this woman--I think she called herself Circe or something--shrank me down to this size."
"Wait. Circe?" He shook his head. Anna looked down at the ring on her finger.
