Jen awoke to the a beam of light shining through her eyelids. "huh...?" she asked groggily, and realized that it was a flashlight being shone in her face.
"You awake?" said a vaguely familiar male voice.
"yeah... what time is it?" Jen replied, getting up. The beam was pointed away from her face, and pointed towards the door, which seemed to have been smashed open. An axe lay nearby.
"Time to go."
"Wha-" she started, but was cut off as she was pulled to her feet.
"Get up. I'm getting you out of here." she heard him say, as a blanket was roughly wrapped around her. her eyes were starting to adjust to the darkness, but not enough to see who it was.
The man grabbed her by the waist, and heaved her onto his back, as he started dashing through the corridors of the office.
Jen was actually inwardly hoping this would happen, since she wasn't particularly looking forward to being used by the people over at Accounting.
They reach the stairwell, as her captor starts to pant heavily, but do not stop. Instead, he continues to carry her down the steps, not stopping except to open the emergency exit on the first floor. There, an expensive-looking sedan is sitting, engine running, in park.
Her captor sets her down, and bends over, trying to catch his breath. "Who are you?" Jen manages to ask, having given up trying to remember where she heard the voice before.
"You'll see... just... get in the car, ok?" He manages to gasp, before regaining his composure, and stumbles to the driver's side door.
Jen complies, and gets into the back seat, awaiting her fate, hoping it'll be better than what she was probably going to be subject to.
Her captor switches gear, and drives off.
Jen falls during the trip, and wakes up...
