Niki stepped into Jenifer's room. "Jennifer?" she asked. Every thing had changed, the wall paper was now red and white stripes on the south and north and yellow with blue polkadots on the north and south. Posters of various hunks and boy bands were replaced with ones of-clowns? "Jen, what's going on?"
Niki heard the door shut behind her, and Jennifer's voice say, "Wouldn't you like to know?"
Niki turned around and stared at the clown standing next to the door. "Jennifer, is that you?"
Jennifer squeezed her nose three times in quick succession. HONK HONK HONK! "You're right on the money!"
Niki sighed; this had to be another one of Jennifer's practical jokes. "Since when were you interested in clowning?"
"Since Kyle Perkins did a Transform or Dare on me," said Jennifer. Niki frowned, then remembered that freshman she and Jennifer had pantsed a couple of weeks ago. She'd laughed herself silly then although now she felt a little bad about how Kyle was humiliated. "Right now, you're the only one who remembers the old me; as far as anyone else knows, I was born a clown. I work in a circus; I'm only visiting my parents while it's in town."
"You have got to be kidding." Niki walked over to Jennifer, licked her fingers, and wiped Jen's face. Nothing came off. She pulled at her friend's nose. HONK! It didn't come off. "You're not kidding." Jennifer shook her head. "Isn't there some way to change you back?"
"Maybe. But I don't want to change back." Niki just stood there shocked. "I was a little horrified at first, but after playing with my wardrobe, I realized I LIKE being a clown. So much I want to share th expericence with someone." Now a glint appeared in the clown girl's eye. "And that someone is you, sweetums."
Niki backed away and shock. "You can't mean-."
Jennifer giggled. "That's right Sugarcakes. You're my partner. I'm the whiteface, you're the auguste. You're Laverne to my Shirly, Lou to my Bud, Jerry to my Dean. I'm clumsy but you are clumsier. Like me you have the impulse to make people laugh and laughter turns you on, even more so than me."
"This can't be-," Niki began, but already her tan skin was changing to a peachy orange. "What's happening?!"
Jennifer pointed to the mirror on her vanity. "Have a look at the new you, hon."
Niki looked in the mirror. Already white was forming around her mouth and above her eyes. Her carefully plucked eyebrows turned dark black and arched upwards, topping the white patches above her eyes. Her lipsticked mouth went blue-black inside the white muzzle, and stretched into a wide smile. Her cheeks turned rosey and filled with black dots. Niki sneezed and when she opened her eyes she saw her nose had become red and swollen into a ball even bigger than Jennifer's
The changes didn't stop with Niki's face. Her halter top and jeans turned into a puffly yellow blouse and orange skirt, both cover with pink hearts. Her pantyhose changed to red and yellow striped stockings and her shoes into bubble-toed orange Mary-Janes with pink bows.
The final change was Niki's hair; it went from honey blond to neon yellow and tied itself into bobbing twin ponytails held in place with ribbons that matched her skirt.
Niki's horror was replaced with giddiness as she thought how silly she looked. She touched her nose and squeezed. HONK! it sounded, deeper and louder than Jennifer's, and she began to feel herself go wet.
Something suddenly occurred to her. "What about Jason?"
"Don't worry he's still your boyfriend." said Jennifer. "You just have a long distance relationship and mainly talk by e-mail. Oh, and now he has a special fetish for clown girls; he especially loves that big honker of yours. Now come on, Peaches. We've got practice soon, and you know how big an ogre Ringmaster Bill can be if we're late."
"Sure thing Jen-Jen," said Niki, now Peaches the Clown, and the two clowngirls walked out of the bedroom.
