Lisa spent the day in Josh's body, enjoying how much powerful she felt now. She spent P. E. in the weight room with the other jocks, all of her classes were a breeze now, since she had preferential treatment. Not that she needed it; she was pretty smart, after all. Even football practice came easy, even though Lisa hadn't spent a day playing the sport.
As she walked out of the locker room, she saw Chloe waiting for her next to the bleachers.
"Hey, stud!" she said, running up to Josh, wrapping her tiny arms around his massive midsection. "How was practice?"
"It was okay," Lisa replied, still trying to get used to her deeper voice. "So, where do you want to go now?"
"Let's go to my house," Chloe responded, beaming up at her boyfriend. As they passed a few cheerleaders, they turned their heads, jealous that Josh was dating someone so...plain.
"Why would someone like Josh date a four-eyes like Chloe Reed?" one of the muttered under their breath, when Josh and Chloe was out of ear shot. "She's such a dweeb."
Josh drove to Chloe's house in the cherry red mustang he received as a birthday present a few months ago. The thing drove like a dream, Lisa thought, as they arrived in front of her friend's house and walked inside.
It was hard greeting Chloe's parents when Lisa saw them this time. She had to look down at them now, since they were so much shorter than she was. Also, Lisa didn't necessarily like the angry stare Chloe's father gave her as the two went up to her room.
"So, did anything interesting happen today?" Chloe asked, as she sat down on her bed, inviting Josh to join her. Lisa walked over, hearing the mattress creak under her 265 pound body.
"Same old, same old," Lisa replied, smiling a little.
"Oh,come on," Chloe said, wanting to talk about something exciting for once. "Something HAD to happen today."
"Well," Lisa said, wondering how her friend would take the news. "As a matter of fact, something DID happen today."
Chloe scooted closer to Josh, wanting to hear the news.
"Um, Chloe? What would you say if I told you I was really your best friend Lisa Thomas?"
"I would say you're out of your mind," Chloe replied, trying to stifle a laugh. "I've known her since childhood and you look nothing like her."
"What if I told you I could prove it?"
"Sure, go ahead," Chloe said, confident this was just some joke Josh was playing on her. "Try me."
"Okay," Josh said, taking a deep breath. "You skinned your knee when you were 12 rollerskating around the neighborhood. That's why you have that one inch scar right there." Lisa pointed to the scar.
"You are afraid of the dark, rats and spiders," Lisa said, continuing. "I know about that last one because when we were 8, we had a sleepover at your house and your brother tossed a few spiders on your bed."
"And you cried your eyes out when you went away to summer camp one year. Apparently, you had feelings for some boy there and he didn't feel the same way. We stayed up one night on the phone, while you cried and I tried to convince you that he wasn't worth the trouble."
Chloe just sat there, mouth open. She couldn't believe it.
