Long hence since that frightful auto accident when Terry lost his parents, and sadly too lost the use of his young legs. Strapped in and sitting in his wheelchair, Terry Ames is so eager, he can hardly wait for the Pleasure Island Amusement Park ferry boat to slip into its dock and allow those aboard to unload.
Terry had heard of various people, and too, a couple good friends that made there way to the Park island, and after a couple of post cards claiming of all their fun times, they never returned home, lost somewhere, where nobody knew where to look.
Rumors and crazy sounding fairy tales touched his ears, he had to wonder, and with after writing to Park management about the availability of those who were handicapped to come to the south seas isle, he received a warm welcoming letter and one free ferryboat ticket.
His thoughts were along the lines of discovering what happened to two friends, brothers they were Benjamin and David Bailey. Terry had in his pocket picture he took of his two good friends when they stood proud after their high school class won the state championship for class "B" basketball.
Terry was on the team too, at first he played "Center" and after he lost the use of his legs he remained on the team as the towel manager.
His planned adventure would begin where they brothers Baileys sent their last post card from, that with a photo of the "Draft Choice Pub."
