An old lady comes out from a door behind the counter, because she heard the bell on the door to the store. Her hair is grey like steel and she wears old fashioned clothes and you can hardly sense her smell because of all the perfume she’s wearing. “Can I help you with anything?...” she asks you before she notice your strange appearance. She stares at you as you try to figure out why you went into the store in the first place. Then you remember why, even though you don’t have the same need to cower your canine appearance anymore. “I was wondering if I could use your…” you try hard to think what you needed to use, then the right word pops into your head “ladies room?” But the old woman ignores your question as she shouts towards the now open door behind the counter. “Steve! You remember what the park people told us about what we should do if one of those animal people came to us?” An elderly male voice answers from the room that the door leads to. “Yeah I remember. What about it?” The old woman walks up to you and lifts your skirt a little bit to and examines your tail with her eyes.
“Well, we got one of them right here” she declares. You look at the woman, trying to understand the meaning what they are saying to each other. It takes you a few seconds but still you can’t figure out what to do with the new information. The woman continues to examine you as you watch her. She doesn’t touch you, but she looks at you with pure fascination. “How were they able to do this to you?” the old lady whispers as she looks up into your eyes. “Why is this happening to you? Is it some kind of a punishment or an experiment maybe?” she continues with the same low voice.
“Oh, dear” you suddenly hear the male voice exclaim. Both you and the woman look in the direction the voice came from and you see an old man, even older then the woman, standing just outside the door behind the counter. “I think you’re right Edna… should I call the park people so they can take care of her?” Edna shakes her head “No, we should first try to think of some alternative, they will probably just be cruel to her”
You now realise how short you have become. You used to be the one who had to look down to look see the other person, but now you have to look up to see the woman’s (Edna) face. “What is it she’s transforming into? A Border collie?” Steve shrugs “I don’t know, I’ve never been any good with dog breeds” A Border collie? Why are they talking about Border Collies? You try to figure it out for a few seconds but you soon forget it. That’s when you see the woman reach out her hand in front of your partly formed muzzle. You sniff the hand a few times and you try to resist need to lick it, but you fail as you don’t see why you shouldn’t lick it.
“It seems like she’s becoming a dog in mind too” Edna says to Steve. Edna suddenly raises her eyebrows and opens her mouth a little as if she has thought of a great plan. “Robin needs a new friend… his old Alsatian died a couple a months ago and he has decided that his next dog should be a Border Collie. If we just “forget” to call the park people then maybe we could…” But before Edna has time to finish, she gets interrupted by Steve. “I don’t know Edna, what if they find out and they decide to punish us. I mean I don’t want to become a dog or something worse then a dog”
You skirt have now fallen to the floor and your t-shirt hangs loosely on your shoulders. You still stand up, but you won’t be able to do that for very much longer. You almost look like a complete Border Collie that stands on two legs. The only things that shows that you were once human is that your feet and hands haven’t fully changed yet and two nipples still stands on two low, almost flat “hills” on your chest. A remnant from your once human breasts… As you the two human continue their discussion in the human langue English that’s now sounds like total gibberish to you.
