Someone knocks on the door. Jack, one of two roommates, answers the door. A
pizza man is standing on the other side of it. Jack pays the man the five dollars for
the pie.
"Lyle," yells Jack, "The pizza's here."
Lyle, the other roommate, runs over, holding his wallett. "How much was it?"
"Ten dollars."
Jack is an intelegent man, but still a risk taker. He gambels, but only in games wher
he knows that he'll win. Lyle, on the other hand, is not too bright. Lyle also gambels,
but more for fun that anything else. Lyle normally only plays when there's little or no
money involved, but Jack occasionally tricks him into more.
Lyle hands Jack five dollars, covering half of the supposed price of the pizza, and they
open the box. To their surpise, the box contains no pizza, but instead, it contains a
software package that reads "Cronovac 4.0". Jack reads aloud that the software can
transform anyone into anyone or anything, and it can even alter their mindset. The
roommates decide to test it on a random person that they see outside. They decide to
change his hair color from brown to black and altering everyone else's memory to
remember that it was always like that. To their surprise, it completely works. Being
the type of person that he is, Jack makes a bet with Lyle; they would both press the
random button, turning memory-altering abilities off, on themselves and make it so the
person who uses the program to transform back first pays the winner five-hundred
dollars. Lyle accepts. Jack figures that he could win by, after watching Lyle use the
random button, limit the transformation on himself to slight differences without Lyle
noticing.
