Gina, Sam, Alex, and Tiffany watched out a window the next morning as a human army marched into the city. Jen, and several other Venomancers stood scattered if front of them. The Venomancers were all wearing some type of latex unitar. Untamed Barbarians jumped down from the cliff behind them. The humans were surrounded! Jen gave the order for the Venomancers to attack. The pets all charged while the Venomancers launched their magic attacks, also healling their pets occasionally. The Barbarians also attacked, bashing the Humans with hammers and slicing them with poleaxes. The humans fought back with fast bladework and magic.
After hours of constant fighting, forces had dwindled on both sides to a measly 20. All but 1 Barbarian was gone. 19 Venomancers left. 20 Blademasters left. Dead bodies covered the city.
"Girls," Jen said to the other Venomancers, "Just like we practiced!" The Venomancers ordered their pets to force the Blademasters to gather in a crowded group. Then all the Venomancers got on their flying beasts, some were mantas, some were dragons, some were large hornets. They gathered in a circle above the Humans and touched their magic swords together. A powerful blast of energy blasted down onto the humans, wiping all but 1 out, who had escaped by riding a flying sword with a golden glow. He wiped out the remaining Untamed fighters with an energy blast from his sword. Only Jen was left.
"You there!" he said, pointing at Jen. "I've heard of you. Arrived a few months ago from Earth. So new yet so strong. I, Shad, challenge you to a duel! Winner take all!"
"The terms?" Jen asked.
"Melee only. No magic. No pets. No weapons. Hand to hand combat." he said.
"Very well, I accept." Jen said, dropping her weapon. The duel began immediately. The Blademaster stabbed his blade into the ground and charged with his fists. Jen dodged each punch easily and sank to the ground for a kick to trip him. The blademaster jumped and attempted to kick Jen in the neck. Jen ducked and grabbed his leg. She threw him, he crashed into a small building, getting buried in rubble and various household objects. He threw a punch in Jen's direction, launching several rocks flying at her. She punched each of them, shattering them. After the dust cleared, the Blademaster was gone.
"Up here!" he yelled. Jen looked up in time to recieve a spin kick to the side. He accidentally sent her flying into his blade, the sharp edge sinking deep into her right shoulder. "Whoops. Looks like I broke the terms of our duel. I forfeit."
"Looks like it." Jen said, smiling. They both started laughing.
"I haven't been challenged like that in years!" Shad said.
"You're quite strong yourself. Maybe next time I can use my full strength." Jen said.
"Until we meet again Jen." Shad said. He flew off on his flying sword, leaving his dead comrades behind.
