Jack and his friends all stared at each other. "Wha-what's happened to us?" Lily asked, her alto voice now having acquired a goofy lilt.
All four of them had big red clown noses. Lily's was the biggest, nearly the size of a peach. A rosy red hue matching her lips had formed around Lily's white muzzle, and verticle blue bars appeared on the white patches around her eyes. Her blond hair was now fully pink and curled into ringlets; somehow it had also tied intself into twin bobbing ponytails. Jack also had white patches around his eyes and mouth, but smaller, and and his muzzle was surrounded by a pitch black that covered his entire jawline and went down to his adams apple.
Matt and Emma both had milky white skin. Matt was now bald on the top of his head; a thick mass of orange curls surrounded the edges. His lower lip was bright red and stretched down to his chin and curled over his upper. Blue patches simalar to Lily's white ones and were topp by arched black eyebrows. Emma's hair was blue but otherwise unchanged; her fingernails were the same shade of blue. She also had little blue triangles directly under her eyes and her nose was the smallest, barely bigger than a ping-pong ball. It was also glittering, and she had enormous silver-black eyelashes.
Their clothes had changed as well. Lily and Emma both now wore puffy dresses with frilly aprons, lacy petticoats, and baggy bloomers. Lily's dress was red covered with yellow hearts; her apron reveresed the pattern. Emma's was tellow; her apron and petticoat were both orange and the apron was covered with small white dots. She still wore her glasses; somehow the frames and lenses had become heart shaped.
Matt's blue jeans had become too wide and baggy for him; a pair uf rainbow suspenders held them up. His tellow polo shit had long baggy sleeves and a puffy blue bow tie adorned his neck. The suspenders brouth his pants up to his waists, showing his yellow and white striped socks, and a small yellow top hat appeared on his bald head.
Jack's clothes had changed the least. He still wore the same grey slacks, sweatshirt, and jeans jacket he came in with. But now bright patches appeared in various places on them, and on his head sat a battered and bruised fedora.
All four teenager now wore shoes that were very outsized, and although none of them had looked they knew their feet had changed to fit.
"It's obvious," said Emma in a squeaky soprano, "that the four of us have somehow turned into clowns.
