After supper Beth went told her mom about her plans and then went into her room for the counselling with her fighters. Yesterday she told her mom all about Jake and his accident and although her mom wasn't happy with the situation she thought also that it's the best for Jake to stay as Beth's fighter. To hide Jake's disappearence, she told everyone that he moved to an uncle in europe for a year or two. Her mom also didn't liked it when Beth now fighted again better opponents, but she hoped that Jake in her new form would protect her sister.
In her room Beth summoned her fighters: "I summon you Elvish Champion Emily, Orcish captain Daniel, Raging werewolf Marcus, Blade spirit Gaurdune and Fire mage Stephanie!"
Five bright lightsflashed from the cards and the fighters materilized in Beth's room. Emily sat on the bed and stretched her arms. Marcus stood near her desk and scratched his long hair before his human side remembered his setting and stopped embarrassed, and Danny stood next to him making a grim face. Perhaps it came from his orcish features, but it is likely that he wasn't happy with his situation. Gaurdune leaned against the wall with crossed arms. He had a black armour-like body and a bald head without any features or a mouth. Swords were fastened to his arms and his whole appearence was restraint, but strange. At least there was Stephanie, a young girl with fiery red hair sitting on Beth's bed and grinnig with a sugar-like smile. She wore a red gown and small flames danced around her fingers.
"Ok, now that you were all here I want at first welcome you all in my home.", said Beth,"Marcus, Danny and Gaurdune, I am your new owner from now an."
"I can't believe, how I got in this situation.", mumbled Danny, "That hadn't happened if you had not failed, Marcus!"
"Oh, shut up, weakling. We always serve the mightiest and Beth was mightier than you so that is your place from now on.", grunted Marcus.
Beth and Emily were surprised that he defended her, but he was a fighter for a long time and perhaps his werewolf features took also part in his loyality to his owner.
"Yeah, and now that we know us all better, what's the matter?", asked Stephanie in her childish voice.
"Ok, to the point. I want to fight in a tournament this weekend and perhaps I get the chance to fight in the great national championship.", explained Beth, "But before I sign for the tournament I want to ask you if I really shall fight against so good owners."
"What will a brat like you do there? That's not a playground!", said Danny.
"Oh, shut up, Danny. You are only sad cause you will be the fighter and not the owner.", grinned Stephanie. "I think Beth shall do it."
"Yeah, and perhaps we found a way for Jake to change back from his female form when we fight against the best owners.", said Beth.
"You mean that one of them knows a cure against this card?", shouted Emily.
"What, you mean this elven chick is your brother?", laughed Danny, "That is too funny"
"Quiet, orc boy!", growled Marcus, "She is mightier than you will ever be. And after all we are in the same team now. So tolerate each other."
"I think Emily shall go to the tournament. I can sense a strong power in her." This was the first time Gaurdune speak, or better they heard his telepathic voice.
"Then let us vote.", suggested Stephanie.
Everyone raised the hand for Beth to sign for the tournament, even Danny, who made a fierce face.
After all exept Emily were back in their cards Emily asked Beth why she couldn't stay out longer.
"Cause after outside a battle I can summon you only for 1 hour. After it you will be sucked in your card automatically. I also can summon you only 3 three times day outside of a battle, so I want to save this time. And for the night you must back in the deck. Sorry, Emily, äh, I mean Jake.", explained Beth.
"It's alright. I am used to Emily now.", said Emily, "Good night."
"Good night, Emily"
