"What are you all doing in my house?" The group was surprised, as they heard a woman's voice addressing them. Jack turned towards the main staircase. A woman wearing a black dress was standing there. She had skin that looked a bit pale, and she had long, black hair. She didn't look too old. Jack stepped forward and answered. "W-we came here on a dare... We had no idea anyone still lived here." The woman stared at them. Ominously, the sound of thunder appeared outside. Rain began to tap on the windows. The lady sighed. "Well, it seems that it's raining outside. You can stay the night here." "Well, thanks." "Please, come into the den for some tea." Jack and the others began to follow, and when the lady was out of earshot, Matt grabbed Jack. "Dude, are you nuts? Some lady shows up in a house that's supposed to be abandoned, then it starts raining, suddenly? That's just too creepy. Something's not right.", said Matt. "Oh, come on. She seems nice.", replied Jack. "We'll just stay the night, then go home."
In the den, the lady began pouring tea for the group. "Forgive my manners, but I never introduced myself. I am Isabella." "Do you live here alone?", asked Lily. A sad look appeared on Isabella's face. "Well, I have been for some time, since my husband and daughter passed away." "Oh, I'm sorry!", said Lily. "No, they're in a better place now. It is lonely here." Jack, Lily, Emma, and even Matt all bore expressions of concern. "Perhaps... Would you four like to live here with me?", suggested Isabella. "Really? Oh, I always wanted to live in a big house!", said Lily, elated. Jack and Matt felt hesitant. They thought of their lives, their families, but suddenly... they didn't care. They only wanted to live with Isabella.
"Well... I'd feel bad just mooching off you.", said Jack. "What if we did chores around the house?" Isabella smiled. "Well, that's a wonderful idea. Very well. Tomorrow, I will assign you some duties to do around the house." Isabella led them to their rooms. Heading to sleep herself, she muttered to herself, "Visitors... We'll see how they end up."
