Rais advanced onward, his mouth drawn upward by capricious lust.
Jeff got up in concern and an emotion crystalizing into anger. He wanted to love Rais as a human, and Rais had just blown his only chance. The little wizard's tongue couldn't properly say the human to tiger and back again spells.
The wicked boy came closer, and Jeff instinctively leapt off the bed to take a look at Iqbal, now gibbering on the floor.
"Come to me Jeffy-Weffy!" cried the little monster.
Jeff backed away, as Rais tripped on little Iqbal, stumbled, and stepped right on Jeff's tail.
The tiger cub reacted with his basic instincts--he yowled and swiped his claws, which ripped across Rais' foot.
The supremely enraged little boy kicked Jeff across the room, sending hi back onto the bed by the black kitten.
"Baaaaaaad KITTY!" shrieked Rais, who flung himself onto the bed ans swatted at Jeff. The latter trying to defend himself moved away, so that Rais struck the black kitten, whose claws struck out at Rais' downturned face.
The little boy picked up the black kitty and threw it across the bed. It tumbled off the bed, knocking off a small satchel that Iqbal had dropped in surprise when he'd re-entered the room. A pocket notebook and a vial tumbled out of the satchel and onto the floor. The kiten fell on top of the book, which fell on top of the vial. Upon hitting the floor the vial cracked, and tiny rivulets of liquid leaked out.
Rais, currently distracted, snapped his fingers at Jeff.
"Kitty! Come here so I can punish you!"
Jeff felt himself reluctantly obey.
"Whas dat funny smell?" pondered Rais, his nose guiding him to the spot where the vial had cracked. He saw the jet-black kitten innocently licking up the sweetly scented leakage from the vial. It was only after the kitten had licked the floor dry that Rais noticed the label on the cracked bottle, typed on his father's old typewriter: "All Purpose Spell Breaker--Reverses effects of all spells on user. To be used only in emergencies by members of the Ramachandran family. Caution: May induce side-effects."
The black kitty turned its eerily human-like eyes to Rais. And then it smiled.
