The minotaur coughed and some blood dripped from its mouth. It looked at the four
dragons surrounding it with fear filled eyes. It gave a shuddering breath and coughed
again.
"I-I do n-not know exactly w-what h-happened!" the minotaur managed to stutter
weakly.
Markal growled and placed one of his claws under the dying creatures chin.
"Where did they go? Tell us, or I will slit your throat!"
The minotaur flinched and gasped as the pain in his side flared up. More blood dripped
from his mouth and his breathing was growing weaker. Ty could only look on in sympathy
at the creature who was soon to die. He stepped forward and leaned toward the minotaur.
"Please tell me where my mother is?" he asked.
The minotaur's eyes widened as he stared at Ty.
"T-t-the d-d-dragon p-p-prince! Q-q-q-queen N-N-Nazara w-w-went to the S-s-
silver m-m-mountains, t-the realm of t-t-the D-dwarves," he finished his explanation
with a loud cough.
Jewel leaned toward the minotaur with a look that didn't show open hostility, but it didn't
show kindness either.
"And how, would a creature of the dark, know this?" she asked.
The minotaur, having lost its strength to hold its head up leaned back against the wall.
When it answered it was barely a whisper.
"When t-t-this c-creature...b-b-betrays his...own k-kind!"
The four dragons stared at the minotaur in shock at what he just said. It was Jewel who
then realized that the minotaur was gasping for breath, his muscled chest heaving as he
struggled to breathe. Jewel didn't think, she just acted. She rushed to the minotaurs side,
ignoring her mates shouts, she placed a clawed hand on the minotaurs chest and began to
chant a spell.
"When darkness joins the light, its body near death, give it a new breath of life, and a new
body to fight again!"
Suddenly light engulfed the minotaurs body, causing all four dragons to look away. When
the glow faded they turned and stared at the new being that laid before them. In the place
of the minotaur, lay a Tauren, almost the same race as minotaurs but they are on the side
of the light.
Slowly the Tauren opened its eyes and sat up. It looked down at its now clawed hand and
stared at it in shock.
"I...I...I don't know what to say! Why..." Jewel interupted him.
"What is your name, Tauren?" she asked kindly.
Ty and Dristun stared at the female guardian dragon in shock. Markal just stared in
stupidity. The Tauren, former minotaur, looked up at her.
"Brawn, M'lady," he said with a slight bow.
Markal finally shook himself out of it and walked forward.
"Well, friend Brawn, it is time that we joined up with her highness and our allies!"
