An hour later Kat came back outside. She brought out a dog bowl filled with food and water and sat them by the doghouse.
"Breakfast time Dan!" Kat said cheerily. Dan looked down at the bowl, it was filled with dry dog food.
"You expect me to eat this?" Dan asked incredulously.
"Of course and I'll bet you'll really like it too." Kat's smile grew wider as Dan went wide eyed with terror as he felt a tingling sensation in his tongue.
Dan's tongue grew longer and flatter, feeling really strange in his mouth. As Dan consciously played with it he suddenly had the urge to pant. His tongue swelled slightly as it fell out of his mouth and Dan just sat there panting.
"Breakfast time doggie." Kat pushed the food bowl in front of Dan. Dan looked down at the food and his mouth began to water. He went head first into the food and started gobbling it up. "This stuff's actually pretty good!" Dan thought. After he licked the bowl clean he went to the water bowl and lapped up water to quench his thirst. When he was done he looked up and saw Kat had gone back into the house.
Dan spent the next couple hours trying to come up with some plan. Despite being furious with Kat, he figured attacking her would probably be a bad idea. He could think of worse things she could do to him than turn him into a dog. Dan figured his best bet was to somehow communicate with his parents. He’d have to do it when Kat was not around, but so far Kat hasn't let him near his parents without her since she performed her spell. In between of thinking of a plan, Dan sniffed around the lawn as far his leash would let him. He found the smells fascinating and would occasionally lift his leg and leave his own scent among them.
"Come on Dan! Its time for a walk." Kat had come outside and had unhooked his leash from the dog house. She started pulling Dan to the street. "Come on boy. Walkies!" Dan growled at her, but followed.
Dan continued finding it impossible not to smell all the scents along the sidewalk as they walked. He would every once in awhile lift his leg and release some urine on the ground. Kat had nothing to pick up Dan's poop with after he did a little bit more than pee on someone’s yard. Kat, struggling to remember the words, recited some strange spell. When she finished Dan's poop disappeared. Dan looked in horror at Kat. She seemed so powerful and she’d only been a witch for one day! Dan wondered how such powers existed in secrecy, but then remembered how no one had noticed his transformation. For all he knew magical changes were commonplace but everyone’s memories and perceptions were changed not to notice.
Before Dan realized where he was his girlfriend was leaning down to pet him on the head.
"Jen! Please help me!" Dan barked. Jen just smiled at him.
"Hi Kat. Is your cute doggy ready?"
"I’m sure he is." Kat laughed. "How about yours?"
"I hope Daisy is." Jen laughed nervously. "Don’t know much about dog breeding. Not even sure why I want to breed her, but it feels like the right thing to do, you know?
Kat nodded and smiled, loving her new found power over people.
"Well Daisy is inside." Kat shrugged, "Lets go in."
"Lead the way." Kat pulled on Dan’s leash, but Dan pulled back, pushing his paws and feet into the ground.
“Please, don't make me do this Kat! Please!" He could barely control himself with Jen's dog yesterday! How could he control himself today when he was twice as much a dog than he was then?
"Come on! Heel boy!" Dan immediately relaxed and obediently followed Kat inside Jen's house.
