Gabby was an American Shorthair cat and had gray fur with black stripes. She was the sole pet of a newlywed couple and they loved her. She was very playful and was quite the acrobat. She also lived near the closest place where the virus could take effect.
One morning, Gabby woke up and found that her masters had left for work while she was asleep. Luckily, they had kindly filled her food and water bowls before they left. The couple usually didn't come back and feed her again until it was late in the afternoon. Gabby didn't really mind it. She kind of liked the privacy.
Gabby finished her cat food and lapped up the water. When she did this, she noticed that the water tasted funny. She ignored this and finished her meal. As she entered into the living room, she began to feel strange. She decided to take a short nap on the couch.
Gabby had slept for about an hour. When she woke up, the first thing she noticed was that her mind seemed to have opened up. And with that open mindedness came the realization that the living room looked smaller. This was because she had gotten bigger. She got off the couch and landed on her hind legs. She found herself perfectly balanced. She looked at her fore legs and found them to be arms and her paws were now hands with opposable thumbs. However, both were still covered in fur and her hands still had pads.
As she was practicing walking on two legs, Gabby went to a full size mirror to get a better look at herself. Her head was still mostly feline but she could express human emotions with it now. She had two noticeable breasts but the nipples were covered up by fur. She still had digitigrade feet, but her legs were changed to make her bipedal. Much to her relief, she still had retractable claws. Overall, Gabby had the body structure of a human gymnast yet was still unmistakably a cat. Gabby was an anthro.
Gabby wondered what to do next...
