Mike was a little impatient by nature. He was a man on the go, and he wasn't going to be sitting around in a creepy old house waiting for his friend to coming running back downstairs because of some lights he saw upstairs. Knowing Jeremy, he'd probably say it was ghosts, and he'd probably spend time exploring every single room in the freaking second floor. Well, he could play that game, too. So Mike decided to do a little exploring of his own.
-----
Okay, this house was starting to freak him out a little bit. It was if someone had just been inhabiting it one day and then they just...vanished. There were cups set in the kitchen, old dolls sprawled over what must have been the play room or the family room, books strewn all over the study... was this all some sort of set up? Did someone come and ransack the house after the last family left? Was someone living illegally in the house and then had to leave suddenly? Or was there some sort of "paranormal intervention" that had happened. Man, he was starting to sound like Jeremy. Jeremy rarely saw scary movies with Mike and their other friends because he just considered the possibilities to be too real.
Maybe bringing him into the house wasn't the best idea. Mike wasn't too fond of this whole "Oooh, it's probably haunted" thing the house had going on anymore, either.
He didn't even know where he was anymore. He had wandered too far from the entrance. Now he was stuck in some hallway, and the walls were painted a deep red that almost seemed like the color of blood. While he was sick of this place and wanted to get out, part of him felt an utter need to explore this place. He needed to find out what was beyond these doors.
Looking closer, there were four doors here, each with a figure. One was human-like, only very disheveled and beaten-down, one looked like a demonic creature of sorts, one was some horrible, twisted creature that resembled nothing he had seen before, and one was some sort of human like thing...but more, metallic? Maybe a robot? He couldn't tell.
The options were all there in front of him. He just needed to pick one and go.
